About the Company

Horizon Labs is an AI-studio focused on building AI-enabled consumer ventures. Our model involves incubating ideas, launching startups, and scaling growth globally.

Job Description

We are seeking an AI Operations Intern to help operationalize AI-enabled workflows across research, execution, and internal process support. This role sits at the intersection of tooling, process, and business operations, with a focus on making work faster, more reliable, and easier to scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field ideally from leading universities such as NUS, NTU, or SMU, while still considering strong candidates from other institutions.

  • Strong academic performance, ideally distinction or above, alongside evidence of initiative, ownership, and high-quality execution.

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML workflows, including data preprocessing, model training, and deployment — or a strong willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Python, SQL, or Jupyter Notebooks.

  • Comfortable working with APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and automation tools.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to document processes, track experiments, and manage version control (e.g., Git).

  • Comfortable using AI tools beyond simple chat workflows to accelerate analysis, drafting, research, and execution.

  • High attention to detail and discipline in checking facts, requirements, and deliverables before sharing work.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong process thinking and a habit of documenting workflows clearly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve them with AI, automation, and better process design.

  • Support prompt workflows, agent handoffs, documentation, and structured operating procedures.

  • Test AI tools and orchestration methods to improve reliability, transparency, and repeatability.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and implement workflow improvements.

  • Produce clear documentation and summaries so processes can be reused by a growing team.

Why Apply

This role offers hands-on exposure to how AI actually gets operationalized inside a business — not just in theory, but through systems, playbooks, and team workflows that scale.
