Job Summary & Responsibilities
Advantest is seeking an AI Support Engineer to join the US AI Team. This role focuses on evaluating emerging AI technologies, platforms, tools, and vendors to identify solutions that improve engineering productivity and business value.
You will conduct technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and benchmark studies while working with internal stakeholders, AI vendors, and customers. Your recommendations will help guide AI technology adoption, product direction, and deployment decisions across Advantest.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate AI technologies, software platforms, infrastructure solutions, and vendor offerings.
  • Design and execute proof-of-concept projects, benchmarks, and technical evaluations.
  • Assess AI products for capability, cost, risk, scalability, and business value.
  • Recommend technologies that support product strategy and engineering productivity.
  • Support customer evaluations, pilot deployments, and technology adoption efforts.
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations.
  • Monitor industry trends in AI, LLMs, automation, and agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams on AI initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Experience evaluating software technologies, platforms, or technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern AI technologies, software development tools, or automation systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to lead technical projects and work effectively across global teams.
  • Passion for learning and applying emerging AI technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor test, semiconductor manufacturing, or electronics industries.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents, MCP, and cloud AI services.
  • Experience with vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, or technology consulting.
  • Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or customer presentations.
  • Experience working with customers, technology partners, or suppliers.
