πŸ’Έ Competitive Salary in USD | 🌍 100% Remote | πŸͺ™ Fintech & Cryptocurrency Industry

Are you a detail-driven compliance professional who thrives on staying a step ahead of financial crime? Veta Virtual is hiring an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst for one of our clients, a global leader in the cryptocurrency industry that operates one of the world's largest cryptocurrency kiosk networks by transaction volume, with thousands of kiosks across the U.S. and multiple international markets. This role suits someone who takes real ownership of risk decisions, not just checklist compliance, in a fast-moving cryptocurrency business

πŸ”‘ Your Role:

As an AML Analyst, you'll monitor and investigate suspicious financial activity across the company's kiosk network and digital platforms, helping protect the business and its customers from money laundering, fraud, and other financial crime. This is a hands-on compliance role: you'll build the judgment to flag what matters, document it defensibly, and help the business stay ahead of a fast-changing regulatory landscape.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and assessing the financial risks posed by the company's kiosk network and platform operations, and monitoring and regulating high-risk activity.
  • Reviewing and analyzing transaction monitoring alerts to identify potentially suspicious activity, and escalating and documenting findings in line with BSA/AML requirements.
  • Conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, and screening customers and transactions against OFAC and other sanctions lists.
  • Preparing and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other required regulatory filings accurately and on time.
  • Using blockchain analytics tools to trace cryptocurrency transactions and assess counterparty risk.
  • Communicating with regulators and auditors regularly to explain risk monitoring, control, and prioritization techniques.
  • Reporting information that illustrates the organization's overall performance in risk mitigation, and surfacing trends leadership can act on.
  • Examining internal data, systems, and processes to verify all AML regulations and program requirements are met, and recommending improvements where gaps appear.
  • Staying current on evolving AML/BSA regulations, FinCEN guidance, and cryptocurrency-specific compliance requirements.
  • Taking on other compliance duties and special projects as assigned.

    βœ… What You'll Need:

    • Hands-on experience in AML, BSA compliance, fraud investigation, or a related financial-crime role. Experience at a fintech, MSB, exchange, or financial institution is a strong plus.
    • Solid understanding of AML/BSA regulations, KYC/CDD requirements, and sanctions screening (OFAC).
    • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
    • Sharp attention to detail β€” able to spot patterns and inconsistencies that others might miss.
    • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills, comfortable explaining risk findings to regulators, auditors, and non-compliance stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong time management, organization, and independent problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with blockchain analytics or transaction monitoring platforms, such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or similar tools.
    • To be considered for this role, you must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.

      πŸ’Ό What We Offer:

      • πŸ’Έ Competitive salary in USD β€” paid consistently every month, no matter where you are.
      • 🌴 10 paid vacation days per year plus all U.S. federal holidays.
      • πŸ’» 100% remote β€” work from anywhere in LATAM or Europe with a professional home setup.
      • πŸ“ˆ Real exposure to a fast-growing cryptocurrency business, with room to grow as our client's compliance function matures.
      • 🀝 A supportive, collaborative culture through Veta Virtual and our client.
