Job Description

Machine Learning Software Engineer Senior Consultant II implements applications following 12-factor principles to build out the product and iterative enhancements. They own the full stack of software products and backend services. They leverage test driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality of products. They actively participate in the decision-making process of the team ensuring that the simplest appropriate technology and design is chosen to meet user needs.
This is a software engineering-first role. Strong Java/Spring Boot development experience is required. Experience deploying Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions into production is highly desirable.

• Provides input into the architecture and design of the product; collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way  

•  Designs, develops, and maintains features across the product platform, including UI, APIs, backend services, and supporting infrastructure 

• Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building product  

•  Expands test coverage and ensures adherence to test-driven development practices 

  Participates in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind  

• Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stack  

• Coaches more junior team members around different technologies and XP practices  

 Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices  

•  Reviews deployment readiness through automated and manual verification activities 

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis during service disruptions 

• Provides support for software products in user environments  

•  Addresses security findings, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements 

• Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups  

 Participates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product  

 Participates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team’s backlog  

 

Experience  

 3 or more years of experience 

 Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 4.x+ 

 Proficiency in Python 

• Experience deploying GenAI and/or machine learning systems into production. Experience building GenAI systems is preferred but not required. 

•  Prior experience building and/or supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent). 

•  Prior experience working with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, and performance optimization 

•  Demonstrated experience supporting production applications, monitoring, and incident response 

•  Prior experience implementing authentication (OAuth, OIDC, SSO) 

 Familiarity with observability platforms, logging, and application monitoring 

  Prior experience using cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 120,000.00 - 193,725.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
