Trialmed is now actively recruiting for a highly driven and successful Associate Account Director to join our Business Development (BD) team.  This position supports Trialmed’s Early Phase capabilities: our Early Phase CRO and Clinical Research Units

Essential Functions

  • Develops a plan for the assigned territory including prioritizing accounts, mapping appropriate stakeholders and developing engagement plans
  • Adheres to and executes the opportunity management process: Allocation of RFP, coordination of RFP strategy calls, contribute to development of proposals, orchestrate presentation preparation, negotiate and final close of contracts. Sign new business authorizations at or above corporately assigned target
  • Cold calls and client visits; Enters Account activity in database; Maintains cold call and client visit activity
  • Maintains client management and satisfaction activity in accounts; reports any client dissatisfaction; responds to client dissatisfaction; responds immediately to all requests by client of management

Education and experience:

  • Bachelors degree in science or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
  • 2+ years' industry sales experience, ideally within life sciences/pharma/CRO.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Sales experience and track record of proactively selling with urgency and persistence. 
  • The ability to identify and develop sales leads, professionally present capabilities, manage the sales process through to close and handle aspects of contract negotiations.  
  • Scientific and/or sales and marketing background.
  • Experience in lead generation and territory management strategy development
  • Demonstrated success in professional client interactions and relationship building
  • Advanced proficiency in sales automation systems, CRM (particularly Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards
  • Experience in life sciences industry preferred, particularly in pharmaceutical or CRO sectors
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive business information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capability to work independently
  • Available for travel (20-50% depending on role requirements)
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining client-facing materials and proposals

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $62,900.00–$106,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
