Where You'll Work

This is a fully remote position within the United States. While we welcome applicants from all time zones, candidates who can work Eastern Time hours will be best aligned with the team's schedule.

What You'll Do Here

The Associate Specialist will join the Corporate Communications team to support internal communications initiatives that help employees better understand Cengage's strategy, priorities, culture, and impact.
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Communications and partnering closely with stakeholders across the business, this role supports the execution of communications programs that drive employee engagement, leadership visibility, organizational alignment, change readiness, and brand awareness.
The Associate Communications Specialist will contribute to content development, communications planning, channel management, measurement, and program coordination across a variety of initiatives.

Enterprise Communications Program

  • Create content for email, Slack, SharePoint, newsletters, and leadership communications.
  • Manage recurring employee communications from planning through measurement.
  • Support executive and leadership communications.
  • Assist with Executive Town Hall production and follow-up communications.
  • Support employee engagement, culture-building, recognition, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Contribute to leader communication toolkits, FAQs, and supporting materials.

Communications Measurement & Insights

  • Monitor channel performance, engagement metrics, and audience feedback.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards.
  • Support employee listening efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor employee feedback on sites such as Glassdoor and Indeed, recommend follow up where appropriate.

Skills You’ll Need

  • 2–3 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in enterprise communications, employee engagement, and executive communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

    The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

    $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 USD
