Associate Platform Owner, Investment Book of Record (IBOR) - Aladdin
Job Summary
The Associate Platform Owner owns the technical and operational aspects of Liberty Mutual Investment's Aladdin platform, including platform roadmap contribution, vendor relationship management, alignment to business strategy and product objectives, SLAs, and platform support capabilities. This role requires deep, hands-on Aladdin experience, with the ability to independently diagnose issues, partner directly with Aladdin Services, and drive timely resolution.
This role partners closely with senior platform leadership, business users, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and system users to develop deep Aladdin expertise and drive value. While narrower in scope than a full IBOR platform owner, this role carries significant responsibility and autonomy and is expected to operate with senior-level judgment, influence, and technical credibility.
Responsibilities
  • Develops deep expertise in the Aladdin platform and partners with the vendor to understand platform capabilities, roadmap, and best practices
  • Acts as the point of contact with BlackRock Aladdin Services, engaging the vendor, and driving effective resolution through to closure
  • Partners with Product Owners and end users to understand business strategy, priorities, and investment workflows supported by Aladdin
  • Translates business needs and platform capabilities into Aladdin-specific roadmap inputs, prioritization recommendations, and backlog shaping with aligned Product Teams
  • Collaborates with senior platform leadership to influence broader IBOR strategy while owning day-to-day Aladdin platform outcomes
  • Partners with vendors to define and monitor SLAs, platform health metrics, usage patterns, and adoption trends
  • Keeps current with evolving Aladdin capabilities and industry practices; contributes to periodic assessments of platform fit for purpose
  • Accountable for understanding Aladdin user needs across business units, key integration points, relative priorities, and value delivery
  • Builds strong partnerships with Engineering Managers to enable technology efficiencies related to data, system functionality, and infrastructure
  • Serves as a key point of accountability for Aladdin platform health, resiliency, alignment, and operational effectiveness
  • Participates in platform guilds and internal user communities; contributes to industry forums as appropriate

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Strong, hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin. Advanced knowledge of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) concepts and workflows
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with Aladdin Services to troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, and drive resolutions
  • Generally, 7+ years of experience in business, engineering, technology, or consulting. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, etc.)
  • Master's degree and/or CFA designation preferred
  • Strong influencing skills and comfort operating as a decision-maker within a defined platform scope
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams across technology and investment domains
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
