Convergint is seeking a Junior Production Designer to join our creative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer to build real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly distributed environment known for its strong culture and values.

This role is focused on executing and producing high-quality design work at scale, working within established creative direction. You’ll play a key role in bringing ideas to life across digital and physical formats while gaining hands-on experience with real business impact.

This is a primarily remote position, and success in this role requires the ability to work independently, stay organized, and communicate effectively within a fully dispersed team. Candidates in the Chicago metro area have the option to work from our main office.

At Convergint, we value integrity, service, and collaboration—and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives on consistency and precision, and is eager to grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute and adapt existing design concepts across multiple formats (digital, print, presentations, and marketing materials)
  • Design, format, and update high volumes of PowerPoint presentations, ensuring consistency, clarity, and visual quality
  • Produce high volumes of design assets including brochures, long-form reports, white papers, case studies, internal policy and communications, digital advertising, and social media assets with speed, accuracy, and an attention to detail
  • Apply brand standards and design systems consistently across all deliverables
  • Prepare final production-ready files, including resizing, formatting, and versioning
  • Coordinate with external vendors and print partners to produce physical assets, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Manage file organization and asset libraries for efficient team use
  • Implement feedback from senior designers and stakeholders quickly and accurately
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project timelines and business needs
  • Work effectively in a remote environment, maintaining clear communication and accountability

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This role IS:

  • Focused on execution, refinement, and production
  • Centered on working within established creative direction
  • A hands-on role that values efficiency, consistency, and craftsmanship
  • A strong entry point for building a long-term design career at Convergint

This role IS NOT:

  • A creative strategy or concept development role
  • Responsible for leading design programs or managing projects at a strategic level
  • A people management position

What We’re Looking For

  • 0–3 years of design experience (internships, freelance, or full-time)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) AND Figma (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including layout, formatting, and template-based design (required)
  • A detail focused designer with strong organizational skills who demonstrates a clear command of grammar, spelling, editing, and copyrighting
  • Ability to follow direction and apply feedback efficiently
  • Comfort working on high-volume, repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a distributed team setting
  • Experience or comfort working with external vendors and coordinating production
  • Experience preparing files for print production (bleeds, trims, specs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with print specifications, materials, and vendor processes
  • Understanding of layout, typography, and core design principles
  • A portfolio demonstrating solid execution and craftsmanship

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within brand guidelines or design systems
  • Exposure to agency or in-house production environments

- Build foundational skills in both digital and print production
- Learn to work within established brands and systems at scale
- Be part of a collaborative, supportive remote team
