We are seeking a BIM/VDC Engineering Services Specialist - QA/QC to serve as a key quality leader within our Waterworks BIM/VDC team. In this role, you will use your expertise in water and wastewater treatment facility construction, BIM coordination, and piping systems to ensure the accuracy, constructability, and quality of projects.


As an independent technical reviewer, you will perform detailed quality assurance and quality control reviews of shop drawings, models, and fabrication deliverables for complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help identify and resolve design conflicts, constructability concerns, and coordination issues before fabrication and construction begin, reducing risk, improving project outcomes, and supporting operational excellence across the organization.


This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. 


What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive QA/QC reviews of shop drawings, BIM models, and project deliverables for yard piping and above-grade flanged piping systems on water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Validate deliverables against project specifications, conformed drawings, approved submittals, takeoffs, addenda, and other contract requirements.
  • Evaluate constructability and identify potential installation challenges before fabrication or field execution.
  • Review designs for interdisciplinary coordination between civil, structural, mechanical, process, and electrical systems.
  • Identify clashes, inconsistencies, omissions, and potential fabrication or installation issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented before project release.
  • Collaborate with BIM/VDC Specialists, Project Managers, and Contractors to communicate findings and drive resolution of issues.
  • Maintain and continuously improve BIM/VDC quality standards, workflows, templates, and quality review procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to BIM/VDC team members regarding modeling best practices, constructability, and quality expectations.
  • Participate in project kickoff, design review, and coordination meetings to support successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance quality, consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the BIM/VDC organization.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a similar field and 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Ability to create BIM/VDC models and update with current construction documents and specifications.
  • Revit Software is highly preferred
  • Waterworks experience is highly preferred.
  • A high degree of integrity, superior attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
  • Requires a fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to discuss projects with customers and facilitate open communication.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrate effective presentation and writing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and great interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$4,799.70 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
