BO PS Core engineer is part of MS team who will manage and operate Packet Core network through performing all 2 nd level operations activities.
What you will do:
• Ensure a smooth operation of the UMTS/LTE/VOLTE specific Packet Core Network. Be part of a team specified in PCN Network activities associated with Mobile GSM/UMTS/LTE/VoLTE Network.• Take charge of the configuration, administration, and maintenance of Packet Core nodes and associated cloud infrastructure.• Take ownership of routine maintenance procedures, covering system health monitoring, backups, and preventive measures.
• Oversee execution of planned activities and network changes.• Diagnose and fix issues related to configuration, hardware, or software, and conduct root cause analysis.
The skills you bring:
• 2-3 years of experience in the PS core domain.• Experience in working on mobile technologies (2G/3G/4G), RAN functions, Core Network Functions, integration, operation & maintenance• Expertise in Packet Core Nodes Configuration and Fixing which should primarily include - SGSN, GGSN, ePDG / WMG, vEPC (vMME/SGSN, vSGW/PGW)
• Strong understanding of NFVI framework and components.
• Hands-on experience on Openstack, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of Telecom Cloud principles and architecture (e.g., ETSI MANO, VIM, VNFs, CNFs).
• Experience with SDN, orchestration tools, and integration with MANO stacks.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, VXLANs, SR-IOV, DPDK, and load balancing in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.• Good understanding of 3GPP Call Flows and Technologies (2G/3G/4G), VoLTE, etc.• Good understanding of Network topology and various interfaces (S1, S5, S10, S11, Gx, Gy, Ga etc)• Knowledge of GSM, SS7, Sigtran, TCP/IP, S1AP, RANAP, SCCP, SCTP, Iu-PS, BSSGP, GTP, and Diameter protocol.
• Knowledge of Cisco CUPS is a plus.• Knowledge of Linux, Wireshark, and Packet Core domain/vendor-specific certifications will be an additional advantage.• Strong understanding of IP Technology including Routing and Switching
