The Business Analyst Co-Op will support a cross‑functional Agile scrum team while learning the fundamentals of business analysis, product development, and Agile delivery. Under the guidance of the Product Owner and experienced Business Analysts, the intern will assist with documentation, analysis, testing support, and day‑to‑day delivery activities. This role emphasizes learning, mentorship, and hands‑on exposure. Business Analysis & Requirements Definition • Assist senior Business Analysts with gathering and documenting business and customer needs • Participate in stakeholder discussions as a listener and note‑taker to learn requirements elicitation techniques • Help translate business needs into basic requirements or user stories with supervision • Support documentation of acceptance criteria and simple solution options • Perform introductory analysis of workflows, customer feedback, or data sets to identify observations and questions Planning, Backlog & Delivery Support • Support backlog organization by updating documentation and tracking changes to requirements • Assist with backlog refinement preparation by ensuring stories are documented and organized • Help track dependencies, risks, and open questions for the scrum team • Maintain requirement traceability with guidance from senior team members Collaboration, Communication & Stakeholder Support • Participate in scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) as a learning participant • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, designers, developers, and QA under supervision • Prepare meeting notes, summaries, and documentation updates • Support hand‑off documentation for internal teams such as operations or production support Scrum Team Participation • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by executing test cases, documenting results, and logging issues • Help validate that delivered solutions align with documented requirements • Support sprint execution by assisting with assigned tasks and follow‑ups Implementation, Release & Adoption Support • Support release preparation activities such as checklists, documentation updates, and validation steps • Assist with post‑release review activities to confirm expected outcomes • Observe and learn implementation and adoption practices Professional Development & Continuous Improvement • Learn Agile and Scrum practices through hands‑on participation • Build foundational knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques, and documentation standards • Set learning goals and seek regular feedback from mentors • Participate in training sessions and team learning opportunities Operational & Administrative Responsibilities • Complete accurate time tracking and updates in project tracking tools • Follow company policies related to data protection, security, and confidentiality • Assist with additional tasks and project deliverables as assigned Compliance & Data Protection • Responsible for protecting, securing, and properly handling confidential data to prevent unauthorized access, transmission, or disclosure
