The Work You'll Do:

Sovos is looking for a Business Analyst III with a strong background in global tax determination to join our Product Management team. In this role, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, working closely with Regulatory Analysts and key stakeholders to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into functional product solutions — leveraging AI tools to drive smarter analysis and faster outcomes.

More specifically, you will:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for global tax determination, staying current on evolving global tax requirements and trends
  • Partner with prospects, clients, and stakeholders to understand their unique needs and translate those into clear functional requirements for the development team
  • Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions and assist with quality assurance testing
  • Use AI-assisted tools to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and accelerate the requirements process

What We Need From You

  • 3+ years of experience in global tax determination, including working with corporations on implementation of global tax determination software or processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design principles
  • Experience with software development methodologies and project management tools
  • Understanding of global tax determination laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools to improve research, analysis, and documentation workflows
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
