The Business Analyst supports the optimization of processes, improvement of cross-functional collaboration, and delivery of strategic initiatives. Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, this role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, identifying operational inefficiencies, and ensuring that solutions meet business needs and deliver value. This position helps enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements for business projects and process improvements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, and needs.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development and implementation.

  • Recommend solutions or enhancements to address business needs.

  • Partner with project managers, developers, QA, and other teams throughout the SDLC.

  • Create process flows, data models, use cases, and user stories to support solution design.

  • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments.

  • Support UAT by developing test cases, validating results, and assisting with user training.

  • Monitor project outcomes and identify opportunities for future optimization.

  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with managers and end users.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.

  • Experience with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas and updates.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and T-SQL.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.

  • Knowledge of healthcare data, EDI, payer and provider systems, PBMs, and claims adjudication processes preferred.

  • BA certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) a plus.

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
