The Business Controller - Sales Organization is the strategic finance leader and trusted advisor to the Chief of Sales and Head of Marketing, operating as a unit CFO for the global Sales and Marketing organization and as a core member of the Leadership Teams. This role goes beyond traditional financial management to drive profitable growth through advanced modeling, scenario planning, creative financial thinking, and close commercial partnership with a North star of value creation for Ericsson in the form of higher profits and cash flow. The successful candidate will help shape go-to-market decisions, pricing and channel strategies, customer opportunities, and resource allocation choices as BEWS scales toward its ambition to double the business to more than $1B.

What you will do
  • Act as the strategic finance partner to Sales and Marketing, shaping investment choices, priorities, and performance while proactively surfacing risks and opportunities that impact revenue, margin, cash flow, and shareholder value.
  • Lead complex commercial planning and scenario modeling for bookings, revenue, gross margin, operating income, and cash flow, including business cases for customer pursuits, partner strategies, coverage models, and growth initiatives.
  • Drives sales performance and growth economics by analysing productivity, pipeline conversion, channel effectiveness, and customer profitability, and by establishing targets, guardrails, and real-time dashboards for decision-making.
  • Partner across a multi-channel global go-to-market (direct, distributors, resellers, service providers, strategic partners) to assess ROI, optimise revenue outcomes, and align Finance teams around a "One Finance" approach to sales plans and risks.
  • Provide governance and risk management for sales-related activities-overseeing pricing, margins, contracts, and forecasts-while ensuring compliance with finance frameworks and accounting principles and advising on the financial implications of commercial commitments.
  • Translate commercial trends into executive-ready insights that influence strategy, resource allocation, and performance management routines across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Finance.

What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including experience leading or managing people.
  • En terprise experience with multiple go-to-market channels and complex commercial models.
  • Experience in Wireless WAN, networking, telecom, cybersecurity, or adjacent enterprise technology sectors strongly preferred.
  • Passion and growth mindset, with the ambition and resilience required to help scale BEWS toward $1B+ revenue.
  • Based in Plano (TX), Boise (ID), or Santa Clara (CA); minimum 3 days/week in-office. No relocation assistance. Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada now and in the future without employer-sponsored visa support.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is $220,000 to $270,000.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan (select if STV): Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
