Wall Street Prep is the leading provider of financial training solutions to the world’s top investment banks, private equity firms, corporations, and universities, including organizations such as Goldman Sachs and KKR. Founded in 2004, Wall Street Prep (WSP) is a fast-growing and highly profitable company backed by its founders and private equity investors.

Wall Street Prep is seeking a Business Development Executive, Individual Programs to join our growing commercial team. This role will focus on driving enrollment and revenue across our individual programs, including co-branded certificate programs with Wharton Online and Columbia, as well as our open enrollment professional courses.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Business Development Executive will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through pitching and closing. This is a high-profile role within a new sales motion at WSP, offering the opportunity to work closely with leadership to build the messaging, targeting, processes, and playbook that will shape how this channel scales.

We are looking for someone with 2–4 years of full-cycle sales experience or a high-performing business development or client-facing background at an expert network, research firm, financial services firm, or similar high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, polished in front of finance professionals, comfortable with significant outbound activity, and excited by the opportunity to build a sales motion rather than simply execute an established playbook.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the full sales cycle for Wall Street Prep’s individual programs, from prospecting and qualification through pitching, follow-up, and closing
  • Develop and convert opportunities within WSP’s existing database of past learners, alumni, engaged leads, and prospective customers
  • Build and execute cold outbound campaigns targeting finance professionals across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, Big Four deal teams, and related sectors
  • Source prospective customers and accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing tools, and other sales prospecting platforms
  • Develop highly personalized and compelling outreach designed to engage sophisticated finance professionals
  • Manage both self-pay and employer-reimbursed sales opportunities, adapting the sales approach based on the buyer and purchasing process
  • Help employer-sponsored prospects develop the business case needed to secure approval from managers, HR, or Learning & Development teams
  • Coordinate closely with WSP’s enterprise sales team to ensure appropriate account coverage and guardrails for institutions that are existing WSP clients
  • Partner with Marketing and Demand Generation to continuously improve messaging, targeting, lead generation, and conversion
  • Track and report pipeline performance by source, buyer type, and program to help identify the highest-performing segments and sales strategies
  • Help develop and refine the sales playbook for a new and growing revenue channel

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2–4 years of full-cycle sales experience, or experience in a high-performing business development or client-facing role at an expert network, research firm, financial services company, or similar high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and generate opportunities through outbound activity
  • Strong interest in financial services, professional education, and career development
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft sharp, personalized outreach for senior finance professionals
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the polish and credibility to engage bankers, investors, and other sophisticated professionals
  • Commercial mindset with a strong desire to develop closing skills and directly own revenue
  • Ability to navigate both shorter self-pay sales cycles and more complex employer-reimbursed purchasing processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a high volume of prospects and opportunities
  • Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a strong desire to test, learn, and continuously improve the sales process
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an environment where the playbook is still being developed
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Demand Generation, and other internal stakeholders
  • Experience selling premium professional education, certifications, executive education, or similar offerings is a plus
  • Experience working at an expert network or similar client-service organization is a plus

CORE VALUES

  • TEAMWORK – You will work with a diverse set of individuals across Sales, Marketing, Learning, and other functions. Success is much bigger than any single individual or team. By aligning our individual goals behind a shared purpose, we can achieve our fullest potential together.

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary of $80,000
  • Uncapped commission paid as a percentage of closed revenue
  • Target first-year OTE of $120,000
  • Guaranteed commission floor during the first three months of ramp

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A fun, lively, growth-oriented culture
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401(k)
  • 12 paid holidays
  • Parental leave
  • Core values-based leadership
  • Significant mentorship and exposure to company leadership
