A bit about the role
Ready to make your mark in Miami? What if you could have the excitement of building something new, with the backing of an established global business?
Hyve is growing in Miami, and we’re looking for ambitious Business Development Managers to join our founding team and be part of this exciting next chapter.
You’ll be responsible for winning new sponsorship, exhibition and partnership business across a range of HYVE’s leading global B2B event brands, giving you exposure to different industries, markets and customers.
This is a true new business role. You’ll create your own pipeline, open doors and own the full sales journey — from first conversation through to negotiation and close.
If you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial sales environment and want the opportunity to make your mark as Hyve grows in Miami, we’d love to hear from you.
A bit about us
We’re Hyve – organizer of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events.
As the chosen event partner to many of the world’s leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies—helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth and connect with the people who matter most.
Our portfolio features some of the world’s leading events across ecommerce, healthcare, retail, fintech and technology. We're growing rapidly through innovation, acquisition and a culture that empowers ambitious people to make a real impact.
Alongside our market-leading events, we're building technology and data-driven products that create meaningful connections year-round—from hosted meetings and curated networking to digital engagement platforms.
Whatever your role, you'll join a team redefining how industries connect, collaborate and grow.
Think that sounds good? Wait until our Talent Acquisition team tells you about the culture.
As part of your role, you'll:
  • Meet and exceed ambitious new business revenue targets.
  • Build your own pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and market research.
  • Identify, engage and win new sponsors, exhibitors and commercial partners across HYVE’s brands.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and understand what matters to their business.
  • Create tailored sponsorship and partnership solutions that deliver against customer objectives.
  • Own the full sales cycle — from first outreach and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Keep a strong handle on your pipeline, activity and forecasting through our CRM.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Content, Operations and Customer Success to deliver a brilliant customer experience.
  • Stay close to your market, spotting new trends, prospects and commercial opportunities before others do.

What we're looking for
You'll bring:
  • 2–5 years’ experience in consultative B2B sales, with a strong focus on winning new business.
  • A proven track record of building your own pipeline and consistently delivering against revenue targets.
  • Confidence owning the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close.
  • The ability to build relationships and credibility with decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial instincts, with great negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage your pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach — you’re someone who makes things happen rather than waits for them to happen.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the energy to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet customers and attend industry events.

Nice to have
  • Experience selling sponsorships, exhibitions or partnerships within B2B events.
  • An existing network across industries such as technology, healthcare, retail, fintech, manufacturing or energy.
  • Experience selling into enterprise organizations and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.

Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience.
  • Uncapped commission with significant earning potential.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Competitive Paid Time Off: 20 days of PTO, 5 sick days, your birthday off, 2 volunteer days, plus 11 paid company holidays.
  • Hybrid working from our Miami office.
  • Ongoing learning, development and career progression opportunities across Hyve's global portfolio.
