LOCATION: San Antonio, TX (China Grove area)

 

Our client, an established equipment rental company, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow its customer base throughout San Antonio and the surrounding markets. This individual will develop relationships across the oil and gas, construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors while generating new equipment rental opportunities.

The ideal candidate understands the local market, has strong industry relationships, and can independently prospect, close business, and manage customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new equipment rental business throughout San Antonio and the surrounding markets.
  • Build relationships with oilfield service companies, general contractors, subcontractors, project managers, superintendents, and purchasing contacts.
  • Identify upcoming oilfield, construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
  • Conduct regular field, jobsite, and customer-office visits.
  • Prepare quotes, negotiate rental terms, and follow opportunities through closing.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure equipment availability, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Grow existing accounts while consistently developing new customers.
  • Track sales activity, opportunities, forecasts, and customer information.
  • Monitor market activity, competitors, and changing customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous outside sales or business development experience in equipment rentals, oilfield services, construction, or a related industry.
  • Established relationships in the San Antonio market strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of rental equipment and field or jobsite operations.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop accounts, and generate revenue.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based position.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus commission, vehicle allowance or company vehicle, and benefits based on experience.
