We are a global, remote-first company, with leadership from Microsoft, Boeing, Lucas Arts, Twitch, and 2K. As we continue to expand into new categories and launch new initiatives, Loot Labs is becoming the ultimate destination for collectors and brands alike. If you’re excited by creativity, community, and building something that sparks joy at scale, you’ll feel right at home here.

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the next stage of Loot Labs’ growth by identifying, negotiating, and securing new B2B partnerships for Boxed.gg and our broader platform ecosystem.

You’ll work with brands across collectibles, entertainment, gaming, and lifestyle categories, crafting mutually beneficial deals that fuel the expansion of our product catalogue and enhance the fan experience.

This role blends commercial acumen, creativity, and relationship-building. This role is perfect for someone who can spot opportunities, close high-impact deals, and thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and develop new commercial opportunities with brands, licensors, and distribution partners.

  • Lead deal structuring, pricing, and contract negotiations to ensure sustainable growth and long-term value.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Partner Success teams to onboard and activate new partnerships.

  • Conduct market and category research to stay ahead of trends, competitor moves, and emerging IP opportunities.

  • Report on pipeline progress, deal outcomes, and commercial KPIs to the Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Represent Loot Labs at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen our brand and open new doors.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years in Business Development, Partnerships, or Commercial roles, ideally within collectibles, gaming, entertainment, or digital consumer platforms.

  • Proven ability to source, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships that drive revenue and audience growth.

  • Strong understanding of licensing, merchandising, or brand/IP collaborations.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to build business cases and evaluate opportunities.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with limited structure.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Bonus: A personal passion for collectibles, gaming, or pop culture.

What You’ll Bring
  • Entrepreneurial energy and a hunger to make an impact.

  • Strong commercial instincts balanced with creative thinking.

  • Ability to build relationships that strengthen the Loot Labs ecosystem.

  • Drive to deliver both short-term wins and long-term strategic value.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for fandom and the joy of collecting.

Why Join Loot Labs
  • Be part of a fast-growing startup at the intersection of tech, entertainment, and collectibles.

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping Loot Labs’ commercial growth strategy.

  • Collaborate with passionate, innovative teammates who love what they do.

  • Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and flexible working arrangements.
