We are searching for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to call on qualified, prospective and enrolled franchised and independent powersports dealerships. You will sell Octane’s primary value proposition of Speed and Ease to key dealership employees to enroll, train, and engage the dealership with the primary goal of positioning Octane as a solution to their lending needs to increase application and loan volume and market penetration.

Responsibilities: 

  • Make multiple outbound calls to powersports dealerships, including cold calling.
  • Achieve monthly production, enrollment, and engagement goals.
  • Qualify leads from multiple sources including digital campaigns, conferences, dealership referrals, and trade shows
  • Create and maintain a database and/or CRM of current and prospective clients.
  • Resolve dealership issues within a timely manner to minimize the impact to the dealership and Octane.
  • Ability to seek advice/guidance on complex dealer issues and work to a resolution.
  • Work with the Director of Sales & Partnerships and teammates to create a daily workflow that will allow for on-time completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks.

Requirements: 

  • 0-2 years of experience with inside sales or a high call volume environment.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Energetic, friendly, and goal driven with the ability to handle rejection.
  • Understanding of how to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with current and prospective clients through written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with G-Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). 

Compensation: In addition to salary, Total Rewards include bonus eligibility, a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $50,000 to $65,000 + corporate bonus eligibility. Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.
