Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our Mission Systems organization. This role blends a traditional Business Analyst position with light Scrum Master responsibilities and focuses on ensuring clarity of requirements, strong delivery execution, and effective cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and enterprise technology teams to ensure initiatives are well-defined and delivered without disruption due to missing or unclear details.

The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, proactive, and experienced working on projects involving enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Slack, without requiring hands-on configuration or development experience in those tools.

Responsibilities
  • Requirements Elicitation and Documentation: Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, and ready for development.

  • Delivery Support and Coordination: Act as a delivery partner to product owners and delivery teams, ensuring scope, dependencies, assumptions, and integration touchpoints are clearly understood and actively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Agile and Scrum Support: Support Agile teams by facilitating or assisting with backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as needed to maintain effective sprint execution.

  • Backlog Management: Work with product owners to groom and prioritize the backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, properly sized, and aligned with business and integration objectives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, and collaboration platform teams. Maintain clear communication, manage expectations, and drive alignment.

  • Risk and Dependency Management: Identify risks, dependencies, and potential delivery blockers early, particularly across integrated systems, and work to resolve them before they impact delivery.

  • Process and Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps or inefficiencies in requirements definition, delivery coordination, and cross-team collaboration, and recommend practical improvements.

  • Documentation and Traceability: Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure traceability from business needs through development, testing, and release.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise environments.

  • Strong experience working on Agile or Scrum-based projects.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects that involved Salesforce, MuleSoft, and or Slack, without a requirement for hands-on system configuration or development.

  • Proven ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience partnering closely with technical teams, architects, and integration partners.

  • Familiarity with Agile and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving gaps.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
  • We are open to hiring in San Diego, CA; Washington, DC; Austin, TX; and Virginia Beach, VA.

  • Occasional travel, less than 10 percent, may be required.

  • Flexibility may occasionally be required to support critical milestones or urgent business needs.

  • We value accountability, clarity, and execution. Ideal candidates are structured, detail oriented, and comfortable operating across business, systems, and delivery functions.
