About the Role

River Oak Risk is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead new business generation for our captive management solutions, with a focus on our multifamily risk and large P&C alternative risk structures. How You'll Make an Impact

· Source, develop, and close new captive management business, with primary emphasis on multifamily and large P&C risk opportunities

· Build relationships with brokers and distribution partners to generate referrals and co-sell opportunities, while developing direct relationships with multifamily owners and operators

· Manage the full sales cycle — prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close — and provide ongoing service to support long-term retention

· Participate in team sales situations with other producers and support staff; may manage overall client relationships in partnership with day-to-day account management

· Maintain an accurate pipeline and prepare a business plan and production targets, providing regular forecasting on business development activity

· Represent River Oak Risk at industry conferences, broker events, and client meetings

· Apply industry expertise to new and existing client sales, and mentor other team members in sales and service best practices

· Develop cross-functional relationships with underwriting, actuarial, and account management to structure competitive, sustainable captive solutions

About You

· Required: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of proven enterprise sales experience, with appropriate insurance licensing (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

· Preferred: Experience in sales into the multifamily ecosystem (owners, operators, REITs, property management) and/or P&C insurance, alternative risk/captive insurance

· Behaviors: Self-driven and able to act independently; strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable navigating long, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
