County Waste, a Waste Connections company, is now looking for the right candidate to join our team in Clifton Park, NY! We are looking to hire a laborer that is interested in going to CDL School to get their Class B CDL. The best part is you get paid while in school, and we pay for the schooling!This role will be a Site Worker for part of the day, and then will do things like riding with drivers, seeing what it takes to get their CDL, and other general labor duties as well. Customer service experience is a plus, as you will be greeting, directing, and educating customers of our safety rules and restrictions in a polite and courteous manner.You will be driving a company vehicle and must possess a satisfactory driving record.The starting pay is $20.00 per hour.When you start driving a CDL required truck on your own, you will get a pay increase to $26.00 per hour.An ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License Learners Permit within 60 days of employment.
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days of employment.
- 1 year of work experience, preferably in a labor-type position.
- The ability to continually lift throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Mechanical ability is a plus.
