UX is a strategic growth lever for Renesas. By reducing friction, accelerating time-to-value, enabling reuse, and providing system-level clarity across MCU, MPU, analog, power, and software, UX directly impacts time-to-market, attach rates, design wins, and long-term customer loyalty. UX acts as the connective tissue between Product Groups, Solutions, Software & Digitalization, Sales, and the external ecosystem, ensuring Renesas delivers differentiated, scalable, and software-defined solutions aligned with its 2030 and 2035 vision. 

Act as the operational, strategic, and analytical extension of the VP of UX, ensuring the UX vision translates into repeatable execution, measurable outcomes, and enterprise alignment across Product Groups, Sales, and Software & Digitalization. The role owns the UX Playbook and drives continuous improvement of processes, impact, and strategic relevance.

Job Description

  • UX Playbook – Definition & Execution
  • Lead the definition, deployment, and continuous evolution of the UX Playbook
  • Standardize solution definition workflows, engagement models, deliverables, KPIs, and governance
  • Ensure scalability, reuse, and global consistency Cross-Functional Orchestration
  • Drive and coordinate execution across UX, Product Groups, Sales, and Software & Digitalization
  • Act as single-threaded owner for cross-org initiatives
  • Resolve priorities, dependencies, and escalations Executive & External Reporting
  • Produce executive-level material for ELT, Board (as needed), and analysts
  • Translate operational data into strategic insight and narratives Business Consulting & Strategy
  • Act as internal business consultant to the VP UX
  • Analyze performance, gaps, and ROI of UX initiatives • Recommend improvements in process, resources, and structure M&A; and Portfolio Insight
  • Provide UX-driven input to M&A; target screening and integration • Assess technology, capability gaps, and strategic fit Continuous Improvement & Outcomes
  • Establish metrics to improve time-to-market, reuse, and attach rates
  • Ensure outcomes are measurable and repeatable Required Profile

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading projects in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience across engineering, product, sales, and software
  • Education Engineering degree or equivalent
  • MBA strongly preferred Skills & Presence
  • Executive presence and ELT-level credibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong business acumen and structured thinking Success in 12–18 Months
  • UX Playbook operational and globally adopted
  • Trusted UX metrics in executive reviews
