The Chief of Staff serves as a trusted strategic partner to the President & CEO, enabling focus on the enterprise’s most critical priorities while ensuring disciplined execution across the organization. This role operates as an extension of the President & CEO, connecting strategy to action, strengthening governance and Board effectiveness, and driving alignment across the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).The Chief of Staff will play a central role in operational stabilization, enterprise transformation, and cultural renewal, while serving as the primary integrator of President & CEO priorities and coordination with executives and the Board.

Duties and Responsibilities:
President & CEO Partnership & Strategic Execution
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the President & CEO, helping frame issues, pressure‑test thinking, and translate strategy into clear priorities and actions.
- Drive execution against the President & CEO’s annual priorities, enterprise goals, and turnaround initiatives, ensuring follow‑through and measurable progress.
- Help the President & CEO stay focused on what matters most by triaging issues, preparing decision materials, and anticipating challenges before they escalate.
- Support preparation for key meetings, speaking engagements, enterprise communications, and external interactions.
Board & Governance Leadership
- Serve as the President & CEO’s primary partner for Board and Committee coordination, ensuring disciplined, high‑quality governance processes.
- Own the end‑to‑end process for Board agendas, materials, calendars, and cadence, in close partnership with the Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary and committee liaisons.
- Ensure Board materials are concise, coherent, aligned in substance and strategically, and decision‑ready raising the quality and consistency of Board engagement.
- Coordinate follow‑through on Board actions, resolutions, and commitments, ensuring accountability and closure.
- Support preparation for Executive Sessions, special committees, and ad hoc Board requests.
Executive Leadership Team Effectiveness
- Enable a high‑performing ELT by helping set priorities and operating rhythms that drive enterprise outcomes.
- Ensure alignment across executives on strategy, operating priorities, and messaging, surfacing disconnects early and constructively.
- Track cross‑functional initiatives and dependencies, proactively resolving conflicts and removing barriers to execution.
- Provide candid feedback and insights to the President & CEO on team dynamics, risks, and opportunities.
Operating Discipline & Enterprise Rhythm
- Help establish and reinforce strong management discipline, including enterprise tracking of priorities, milestones, risks, and results.
- Design and maintain the President & CEO’s operating cadence across Management meetings, reviews, Board meetings, and strategic checkpoints.
- Bring structure to complex, ambiguous issues, helping the President & CEO and leadership team move from discussion to decision.
Culture, Change & Trust Building
- Support the President & CEO’s efforts to strengthen culture, improve communication, and build strong, effective relationships with the Board, executives, and broader organization.
- Reinforce clarity of direction and “one enterprise” thinking ensuring actions align with stated values and priorities.
- Model high degree of discretion, personal integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism in all interactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 15+ years of experience in roles such as Chief of Staff, strategy, consulting, operations, finance, or senior executive support.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, executive‑level materials.
- Strong business judgment and ability to operate effectively in high‑stakes, fast‑moving environments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution across cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a CEO during periods of significant organizational transformation or turnaround.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and/or healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
- Prior exposure to Board governance platforms and board‑level expectations.
- Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or enterprise PMO roles.
Work-at-home requirements
Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

G.E.H.A considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
The target hiring range for this position is $200,880 - $276,210 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $301,320 USD.
