Yahoo Advertising offers omnichannel solutions, proprietary data, and premium content environments that connect advertisers to audiences at scale. The Client Experience team serves as the operational and analytical backbone for our commercial business, managing end-to-end campaign execution, performance optimization, and client satisfaction across Yahoo’s owned and operated properties and partner networks.

About the Role

As a Client Experience Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering seamless execution and service across Yahoo Advertising’s brand and performance portfolios. Supporting dedicated sales teams across the Retail, QSR, CPG, Pharma, and Health verticals, you will manage day-to-day campaign planning, launch coordination, delivery pacing, and post-campaign analysis.

In this role, you will operate as a proactive problem-solver combining digital media knowledge with modern productivity practices. You will leverage approved enterprise AI tools to streamline operational workflows, surface campaign insights faster, and assist in crafting high-impact reporting for sales partners and advertisers.

Responsibilities
  • Client Success Ownership: Serve as the primary operational pre- and post-sale partner for assigned accounts, collaborating with Account Directors to manage campaign timelines, creative asset requirements, and client expectations.

  • Campaign Execution & Pacing: Oversee full campaign lifecycles from inventory reservation through final billing; monitor pacing and delivery, identifying and troubleshooting discrepancies in partnership with Client Performance (Ad Ops) and technical support teams.

  • Strategic Planning & Media Coordination: Support proactive media planning and campaign revisions in collaboration with Account Directors, Channel Partnership leads, and Sales Strategy teams across direct IO and programmatic buying paths.

  • AI-Augmented Insights & Reporting: Utilize enterprise generative AI tools (such as Gemini) to draft performance update summaries, wrap reports, and QBR narratives from raw campaign metrics, verifying all outputs against source platform data before client delivery.

  • Workflow Automation & Process Enablement: Identify repetitive operational tasks—such as pacing pulls, creative status tracking, and billing reconciliations—and apply AI-assisted workflows and spreadsheet automations to improve team speed and accuracy.

  • Continuous Improvement & Tool Adoption: Actively participate in testing and implementing approved internal AI tools and ad tech features, sharing prompt templates, workflow efficiencies, and best practices across the Client Experience team.

  • Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate issue resolution across ad operations, billing, and product support, leveraging collaboration tools (including Slack AI summaries) to maintain clear cross-functional alignment and timely client updates.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in digital campaign management, media operations, digital media planning, or client service within digital advertising.

  • Demonstrated hands-on working knowledge of digital media formats and channels (display, video, native, and sponsorships) and buying models (direct IO, programmatic guaranteed, PMPs).

  • Working proficiency with core ad tech and sales management platforms, including Google Ad Manager, DSPs, Salesforce, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of translating campaign performance data into clear, client-ready updates.

  • Practical experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot) to draft professional communications, summarize complex data, or automate routine daily workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated content for numerical accuracy, tone, and brand compliance.

  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to elevating client experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting advertiser accounts within the Retail, QSR, CPG, Pharma, or Health verticals.

  • Previous experience within a DSP, premium digital publisher, or media agency environment.

  • Familiarity with audience targeting tools, first-party data activation, and conversion attribution models.

  • Experience creating structured prompt workflows or templates for repetitive operational documentation.
