We are seeking a Clinical Workflow Specialist to join our team for this remote role!
Job Summary
The Clinical Workflow Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between clinical and IT personnel at healthcare organizations and this role has been created with a specific focus into the clinical workflows. Also providing consultative advice to support industry best practices and guidance on applicable healthcare related regulations.
The Clinical Workflow Specialist will work closely with the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer and the Global Team to apply clinical workflow expertise to support other Imprivata departments that may not have a clinical background. The position will be the primary liaison and point person working with the Customer Success Team to coordinate Solutions Assessments at customer sites. May also interact with other departments, including sales, marketing, product management, executive team, support, services, and engineering. These activities could encompass research and development, go-to-market strategy, sales activities, customer satisfaction and engagement, and other daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use communications skills to bridge the gap between clinical and IT personnel at acute care hospitals and other healthcare institutions through on-site visits, telephone conversations, virtual platform conferences and electronic mail.
  • Work with the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer and others to apply clinical workflow expertise to support Imprivata sales, marketing, product management, executive, support, services, innovations, and engineer staff in daily operations.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of relevant federal, state, and organizational (DEA, FDA, Department of Health, Boards of Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, and The Joint Commission/TJC) regulations relating to controlled substance management and diversion activities.
  • In a healthcare setting, familiarity with the clinical processes associated with monitoring controlled substance handling and the audits for compliance.
  • Assist with the design, development, implementation, deployment, service and support of Imprivata technology products with a primary focus on optimizing clinical workflows.
  • Develop or deliver training programs for applicable health information technologies, creating corresponding documentation as needed.
  • Attend or assist presentations at appropriate information technology or medical trade shows, conferences, and forums.
  • Establish strong relationships with the key people in the assigned accounts and with all territory team members.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at various hospitals and other locations as needed on average of three days per week. Experiences will include interfacing with both IT and clinical leadership and staff.
  • Other Duties as assigned and required.


Qualifications:

  • Medical doctorate or nursing degree is preferred, but equivalent extensive clinical operations experience is also acceptable.
  • Expertise in clinical workflows in major acute care hospital and ambulatory settings; inpatient floors, intensive care units, emergency departments, operating room, anesthesia, labor and delivery, radiology, and outpatient/ambulatory settings.
  • Credibility in the clinical setting.
  • Ability to translate clinical workflow terminology and processes into laymen's terms and discuss with product managers or other Imprivata employees without clinical backgrounds.
  • Exemplary communication skills and the ability to network with customers, prospects, business partners, and members of the Imprivata team.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Dynamic, high-energy, and is a self-starter
  • Possess the drive to succeed and to participate in the growth of an exciting, fast-paced company

  • Ability to lead or participate in cross-functional teams in a goal-directed manner.
  • Familiarity with typical acute care hospital information technologies is preferable (electronic health records, computerized order entry, e-prescribing, bed management systems, healthcare information exchange networks).
  • Familiarity with current healthcare policy and regulations, such as the Healthcare Reform Act, Meaningful Use, and HIPAA guidelines is preferable.
  • Familiarity with product management and the software development life cycle is preferred but not necessary.


This position offers a salary range of $136,800.00 to $171,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
