Purpose of Role

Responsible for designing and administering the company's cloud computing systems, applications, and related processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Develops and modifies scalable systems architecture to support applications and infrastructure on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platforms as a Service (PaaS) cloud computing services. 
  • Evaluates and identifies the best cloud computing and storage solutions for the organization. 
  • Incorporates security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications. 
  • Develops, maintains, updates, and evaluates engineering processes and recommends improvements.
  • Designs controls and processes that use available audit tools. 
  • Provides technical guidance in the planning and execution of assigned projects, and participates in project analysis, design, implementation, and commissioning phases.
  • Supports system acceptance testing and validation activities.
  • Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technologies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Manager, Cloud Engineering

Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience. 
  • Knowledge of cloud computing services for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platforms as a Service (PaaS) design and services. 
  • Experience in a DevOps, Development, or SysAdmin role, preferably working with large scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with architecting infrastructure at scale.
  • Experience with hardware and systems automation.
  • Knowledge of systems security and privacy and requirements.
  • Backup solutions experience.
  • Ability to work in alignment with or contribute to strategic business initiatives to coordinates and guide the work of other engineers.
  • Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in a role within a managed services organization is preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable qualifications

Qualifications - Education - Field(s)/Profession(s)

  • Information Technology and Computing or related.

  • Cloud Architect Certification 

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is ($87,200 - $145,400 ) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer. We offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time-off benefits, flexible spending account, 401(k) with employer match, and ESPP.
