We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to support precision fabrication within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

This role combines CNC programming, machining, and weld shop support, producing high-precision components, fixtures, tooling, and weld-prep features used in semiconductor gas delivery systems. The ideal candidate is highly proficient with Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM, understands tight-tolerance machining, and can work closely with fabrication and welding teams to improve quality, fit-up, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Setup

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM
  • Create toolpaths for milling, drilling, facing, contouring, pocketing, and related machining operations
  • Simulate and verify programs prior to production
  • Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters
  • Maintain CNC program revisions and supporting documentation
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes

Precision Machining

  • Machine components from 304/316L stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys
  • Perform first-piece and first-article inspections
  • Adjust offsets, tooling, and machining parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Produce tight-tolerance components and precision sealing surfaces
  • Machine weld-prep features including bevels, grooves, and fit-up surfaces
  • Support rework and repair machining as required

Weld Shop & Fabrication Support

  • Produce fixtures, jigs, and tooling used in TIG and orbital welding
  • Partner with welders and fabrication teams to improve fit-up and reduce distortion
  • Support machining requirements for UHP/high-purity gas delivery systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput and repeatability

Quality & Compliance

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications
  • Verify dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements
  • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
  • Maintain material and work-order traceability
  • Follow applicable ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements

Continuous Improvement & Safety

  • Identify opportunities to reduce setup time, scrap, unnecessary motion, and other process waste
  • Participate in Kaizen and continuous-improvement initiatives
  • Standardize tooling, setups, and programming practices
  • Support SQDC objectives: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
  • Follow all CNC equipment, tooling, cutting-fluid, and material-handling safety procedures

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably with CNC mills
  • 2+ years of Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machining fundamentals
  • Experience machining stainless steel and other tight-tolerance materials
  • Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment
  • Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a welding, fabrication, or weld-shop environment
  • Knowledge of weld preparation and fixture/jig design
  • Semiconductor, UHP, high-purity, or gas-delivery-system manufacturing experience
  • Multi-axis CNC machining experience (3+ axis)
  • CAD modeling experience using Fusion 360
  • Experience machining components for TIG or orbital welding applications

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and a precision-first mindset
  • Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances and maintain repeatability
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Effective problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills
  • Ability to collaborate with machinists, welders, engineers, and production personnel
