Client-facing role managing and growing commercial insurance accounts: build carrier and client relationships, perform coverage analysis, coordinate risk mitigation, support Producers to retain and write new commercial business, and stay current on market trends.
The Commercial Account Executive position is a client-facing, highly visible role in the agency. The purpose of the position is to provide professional, first-class service and high-level insurance and risk management expertise to existing clients and prospects. The ultimate goal is to assist Producers in retaining current clients, and to aggressively grow the agency by providing the support and strong technical skills necessary to write large new commercial business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurance carriers
- Conduct coverage analysis for commercial prospects and clients, and gain a clear understanding of the scope of their business
- Coordinate efforts and introduce resources to control or mitigate risk exposures
- Deliver exceptional and timely service
- Consistently increase knowledge through research and trends in products, staying up-to-date on current topics in the insurance and risk management marketplace
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial accounts
- Strong team mentality
- Ability to grasp new concepts/automation quickly
- Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial underwriting knowledge
- Active Property and Casualty license for the State of Ohio
