Overview:

Sales compensation is a key driver of sales force success. As part of Precisely’s FP&A Global Commissions team, you will work closely with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership, Finance, HR, Payroll, and Accounting to deliver accurate, timely and transparent commission results.  As a Commission Analyst, you will be responsible for administering and supporting global sales commission processes, including commission plan administration, monthly/quarterly data processing, calculations, validation, reporting, and payout activities within Xactly.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex problems, improving processes, and leveraging technology to make commission operations more efficient and scalable.  The successful candidate will also have an interest in AI and automation, and be comfortable creating AI-enabled skills, workflows, or solutions that improve day-to-day business processes.

What you will do:

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly sales commission process, ensuring accurate and timely commission calculations and payouts.
  • Administer complex commission plans for global sales participants across multiple countries and business segments.
  • Develop, configure, implement, and route commission plans in Xactly.
  • Maintain participant information in Xactly, including new hires, terminations, leave of absence, role changes, hierarchies, and VOTE.
  • Validate, reconcile, and load monthly and quarterly commission data into Xactly.
  • Perform detailed data analysis and identify discrepancies, exceptions, and potential commission issues before payout.
  • Support monthly and quarterly commission closed process by compiling, reviewing and analyzing commission results in partnership with Manager.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.
  • Respond to commission inquiries from Sales team and provide explanation of commission calculations.
  • Participate in commission plan design and provide recommendations to improve plan effectiveness, accuracy, scalability, and administration.
  • Document end-to-end commission processes, controls, procedures, and system requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate commission processes.
  • Leverage AI, automation and other emerging technologies to improve data validation, analysis, documentation, reporting, and other commission activities.
  • Create and maintain AI skills, AI-enabled workflows, or automated solutions that reduce manual work and improve team efficiency.
  • Work with cross functional teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support testing and implementation of new Xactly functionality, system enhancements, and commission processes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners across Sales, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, FP&A, Accounting, Payroll and HR.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling employee compensation and other sensitive information.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administering sales commission plans, preferably using Xactly or a similar incentive compensation management system.
  • Experience with Xactly and Salesforce (SFDC) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, perform data analysis, and build effective reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when working with financial and compensation data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex commission calculations and processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering accurate and timely results

Preferred Skills (a plus but not required):

  • Experience supporting global sales compensation across multiple countries or currencies.
  • Experience with Xactly Incent, or similar incentive compensation platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce/SFDC data and sales operations processes.
  • Experience in creating AI agents, AI skills, prompts, automated workflows, or other AI-enabled business solutions.

This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US
