Job Overview

The Compliance Program Manager will report to the Head of Compliance and be responsible for running internal and cross-functional projects, supporting day-to-day operations, and assisting with special activities. This includes turning broad objectives into sequenced plans, coordinating work across multiple departments, and ensuring commitments are delivered on schedule. The role will also involve partnership with internal teams to design and build bespoke compliance software tools and processes that improve compliance outcomes and serve as force multiplier for Compliance to support a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex compliance projects end to end - scoping, milestones, dependencies, and delivery

  • Coordinate across every department at the company, including Legal, Engineering, Security, Supply Chain, Production, Mission Operations, People, and Finance to move work forward and support compliance at Saronic

  • Track team commitments, run the operating cadence, and prepare materials for leadership

  • Build internal tools, workflows, and tracking systems supporting export controls, spectrum authorization, ethics/gifts, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, internal investigations, and international compliance

  • Disposition Compliance requests and asks as appropriate

  • Provide project management and documentation support for internal investigations

  • Translate compliance requirements into practical guidance for technical and commercial teams

  • Develop reporting and metrics on compliance program health, gaps, next steps, and outcomes

Qualifications
  • Experience in a role requiring substantial project management and organizational rigor - program management, product management, business operations, consulting, chief of staff, military service, or legal/compliance operations

  • Track record of delivering complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment on prioritization

  • Effective written communication; able to reduce a complex issue to a clear, concise summary

  • Ability to build working relationships across functions and navigate competing priorities

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built

Preferred
  • Experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory, or international trade function

  • Familiarity with export controls, defense acquisition, or regulated hardware environments

  • Experience at a hyper-scaling company through a period of rapid growth

  • Technical fluency sufficient to build, scope, and execute development of internal tooling

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Occasional standing and walking within the office

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports

  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies

  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
