We support our team with a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

• Annual compensation between $65,000 - $74,000, PLUS an annual performance-based, discretionary incentive.

What You Will Do - Essential Functions

The Compliance Specialist position involves being a liaison between various internal departments and stakeholders for compliance considerations in projects and business initiatives. The role includes identifying risks and implementing controls to mitigate them, managing and maintaining written clinical communications, ensuring adherence to compliance, regulatory, and accreditation standards, leading cross-department communication process change initiatives, and creating and maintaining a mental health parity information repository and task delivery tracking system. The position requires working with multiple internal and external entities and maintaining personal accountability for process integrity and work product compliance.

• Compliance Program Oversight & Risk Management
  
  • Lead the annual compliance workplan, auditing and monitoring activities to ensure continuous alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and policy requirements.
  • Analyze processes, conduct root cause analyses, and drive remediation and corrective action plans to reduce organizational risk.
• Regulatory Execution & Business Integration
  
  • Represent compliance in business initiatives and new account implementations, ensuring adherence to UM standards, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and customer‑specific needs.
  • Lead cross‑functional approvals for operational and technical changes to ensure compliance with ERISA, NCQA, URAC, Medicare, Medicaid, and state‑specific regulations.
• Stakeholder, Vendor & Systems Collaboration
  
  • Maintain SME‑level expertise in written communications systems, oversee vendors and delegate audits, and manage IT change requests and prioritization.
  • Partner with business owners, vendors, and leadership; present findings to Compliance Committee or Board, and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Adhere to Lucet’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Behaviors, Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and Compliance Program.
• Comply with all Federal and applicable State and local laws and Lucet Policies and Procedures regarding privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.

Who You Are

• Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in compliance, quality, legal, managed care, audit, project management, or as a business analyst.
  • Proven business project management experience including independent project identification, planning, deployment, monitoring, and completion.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstration of strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • History of interaction with all levels of an organization and types of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities and meet all applicable deadlines.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as rarely needed to assist with urgent business needs and IT initiatives related to clinical communications and be the point of contact for organizational emergency letter outages.
  • Ability to work autonomously, independently managing and organizing necessary meetings and workplans to effectuate change.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for an entire organizational workstream or process, resulting in positive outcomes.
  • Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

Working Conditions:

• • Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
  • A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.
  • High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting) required.
  • Frequent use of computer and phone systems
  • Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary, sitting position, communicate and exchange information with others, inspect information, perform repetitive motions with arms and fingers, interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, organize and plan, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in all situations.
