Job Description:

   

We are seeking a Compute Sales Specialist to drive growth across a portfolio of Tier 2 Service Provider accounts in the Western U.S. This role will focus on identifying and developing new opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, building pipeline, and driving HPE Compute solutions through the full sales cycle.

As a Compute Specialist, you will work closely with customers, partners, and internal HPE teams to understand business and technology priorities, develop strategic account plans, and position HPE’s Compute portfolio to address evolving customer needs. You will be accountable for advancing opportunities through deal closure, building relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, and coordinating the resources needed to deliver strong customer and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive growth across assigned Tier 2 Service Provider accounts.
  • Identify, develop, and advance new Compute opportunities while expanding business within existing customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Manage Compute opportunities throughout the sales cycle and drive deals through successful closure.
  • Develop strong relationships with customer decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Understand customers’ business and technology priorities and position HPE Compute solutions to address their evolving needs.
  • Build and execute account plans focused on short- and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal HPE resources, presales teams, partners, and other stakeholders to support customer engagements and complex sales pursuits.
  • Develop and leverage the partner ecosystem to expand HPE’s presence and identify additional opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer environments, competitive activity, market trends, and emerging technology requirements.
  • Provide accurate visibility into pipeline, opportunities, account activity, and deal progression.
  • Serve as a customer advocate within HPE and help remove barriers that could impact customer success or sales execution.

Education and Experience:

  • University or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of technology sales, account management, or related experience.
  • Experience selling enterprise technology solutions and managing customer relationships.
  • Experience developing pipeline and managing opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop account plans and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Experience working with cross-functional sales, technical, and partner teams.
  • Experience within the IT industry preferred.
  • Compute, server, data center, or related infrastructure sales experience preferred.
  • Service Provider industry experience preferred.
  • Engineering or technology education is a plus.
  • Must be based in the Western U.S. to effectively support assigned Tier 2 Service Provider accounts with the ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support customer, partner, and business engagements.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong sales execution skills with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop pipeline, and drive deals to closure.
  • Understanding of enterprise Compute, server, data center, and related infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong account management and strategic sales planning skills.
  • Ability to understand customer business and technology priorities and translate them into relevant solution opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships with customer decision-makers, influencers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand how technology investments support customer business outcomes.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional resources throughout complex sales engagements.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the Service Provider market and evolving technology trends preferred.
  • Ability to navigate partner ecosystems and leverage partners to support account growth and deal execution.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational skills, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Ability to continuously develop knowledge of HPE’s Compute portfolio, competitive positioning, and relevant industry trends.

– United States of America: Annual Salary USD 126,000 - 252,500 in California // 109,500 - 252,500 in Oregon & Washington
This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on-target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target-level sales compensation is 60%/40%."
