This role will drive cross-functional projects, coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, and ensure key deliverables are completed on time and with high quality.

The Project Manager will work across internal teams—including Client Implementation, Eligibility, Call Center, Network Operations, Product, Technology, Growth, and Finance—as well as external partners and customers. This individual will bring structure, visibility, and accountability to complex initiatives while helping leadership navigate operational priorities and execution challenges.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on project management professional who excels in fast-paced environments, can quickly establish credibility across teams, and is comfortable managing ambiguity while driving measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Project Management
  • Lead end-to-end execution for operational initiatives during the contract period, from intake through delivery.

  • Coordinate across Operations, Product, Technology, Network, Growth, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, and reporting tools to monitor progress and dependencies.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and accountability to ensure projects remain on track.

  • Escalate issues and risks appropriately while driving timely resolution.

External Partner & Client Initiatives
  • Serve as the primary project lead for operational initiatives involving external partners and strategic clients.

  • Translate business and client requirements into clear project plans, workstreams, and delivery milestones.

  • Coordinate closely with Technology and Operations teams to ensure system readiness, integration activities, and operational preparedness.

  • Identify potential risks, gaps, and operational impacts and proactively develop mitigation plans.

Operational Alignment & Execution
  • Serve as a central coordination point across operational functions, ensuring activities are prioritized and sequenced effectively.

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and competing priorities to minimize project delays.

  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, status reviews, and stakeholder updates.

  • Drive clarity around ownership, accountability, and decision-making.

Analytics & Performance Insights
  • Analyze operational and project-related data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and project status summaries.

  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.

  • Support data-driven decision-making and outcome tracking throughout the engagement.

Process & Execution Optimization
  • Establish project management standards, tools, and governance processes to improve execution consistency.

  • Create and maintain project documentation, risk logs, decision registers, and status reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve cross-functional coordination.

  • Recommend sustainable operating practices that can be maintained after the engagement concludes.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding project status, accomplishments, risks, and key decisions.

  • Surface blockers early and facilitate stakeholder alignment to maintain momentum.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reporting, and recommendations.

  • Conduct project closeout reviews and document lessons learned.

Desired Outcomes for This Engagement

By the end of the 9-12 month contract, the Project Manager will be expected to:

  • Deliver priority operational initiatives and strategic projects tied to implementation and execution needs.

  • Improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across cross-functional workstreams.

  • Establish consistent project management practices, reporting cadences, and governance routines.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks impacting project delivery.

  • Create durable project tools, documentation, and processes that enable the team to maintain momentum after the engagement ends.

About You

You are a highly organized, results-oriented project management professional who can quickly assess complex environments and drive execution. You thrive in ambiguous situations, influence effectively without direct authority, and bring structure to cross-functional initiatives.

You combine strong analytical skills with clear communication and stakeholder management, enabling you to partner effectively with both technical and business teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to guide decisions.

  • Experience developing project reporting, dashboards, and executive-level updates.

  • Ability to quickly ramp up, work independently, and make an immediate impact in a dynamic environment.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across both business and technical teams.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, payer, benefits, or healthcare-adjacent industries.

  • Experience leading client-facing and external partner-driven initiatives.
