Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Contracts Manager to work remotely. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Contracts Manager will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have to have the ability to work in a team environment and an aptitude for contract management/administration. This candidate will also know key issues such as UCC, Liability issues, Liens, Dispute resolution, incoterms, Risk Mitigation, and knowledge of insurance. 

Job Description:

  • Review, negotiation, and finalization of NDAs, Confidentiality Agreements, MOUs, Teaming agreements, JV agreements, and other miscellaneous agreements
  • Manage the contract review and negotiation process with suppliers/partners including but not limited to reviewing terms and conditions, and negotiating contracts / POs under the oversight of Projects and Procurement
  • Monitor the overall contracting process and recommend procedures/processes to improve the quality in line with company guidelines/policy; as necessary ensure ongoing compliance with the terms of the contracts.
  • Contract administration of awarded contracts, which includes monitoring milestones, change management, back charges, overall liabilities, and contract close out.
  • Will prepare and negotiate Subcontracts and suborders when needed.
  • Interactions with sales, projects, finance, procurement, e as well as other business divisions and subsidiaries.

Skill Requirements:

  • Specific understanding of legal provisions such as indemnity, limits of liabilities, consequential damages waiver, lien, law provisions, dispute process, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience in drafting different types of contracts/agreements / POs is required.
  • Knowledge of UCC, incoterms, and various risk mitigation measures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of insurance.
  • Experience in EPC / Contracting business/industry is preferred.
  • Flair to work as a team with Sales, Finance, and Project Management and Procurement group
  • Ability to read and interpret contract provisions and excellent writing skills including drafting contract provisions and contractual letters.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to detail

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Law Degree (preferred) 
  • Five (5) years or more of work experience or more in a project environment
  • Experience in contract administration in a project environment is recommended.
