Job Summary:
Sena Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role develops clear, accurate, and engaging product documentation and technical content that supports Sena's innovative products and brand communications.
Working under the strategic direction of the Marketing Manager, the Technical Writer applies technical understanding and independent editorial judgment to organize complex product information, determine appropriate content structure, and develop effective written communications across multiple channels.
The position requires the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive, and engaging stories that connect with consumers and communicate the unique value of Sena's products.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical writing and editing abilities with creativity, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate with Product Management and Engineering while supporting broader marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Documentation & Technical Storytelling
- Transform complex technical information, including Mesh intercom technology, Bluetooth connectivity, audio engineering, and product features, into clear, engaging, and consumer-focused narratives.
- Develop creative product descriptions and benefit-driven messaging that communicate technical capabilities through compelling storytelling.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy while maintaining originality, clarity, and audience appeal.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, product guides, and internal communication materials in collaboration with relevant teams.
Public Relations & Editorial Content
- Develop original written content for press releases, product announcements, media communications, and corporate storytelling initiatives.
- Identify compelling story angles and recommend creative approaches to communicate product innovations and company developments.
- Adapt messaging and editorial tone for different media audiences while maintaining consistency with Sena's brand identity.
Brand Voice & Content Development
- Apply and maintain Sena's established brand voice while developing original written expressions and creative messaging approaches.
- Recommend improvements to existing content to enhance clarity, engagement, originality, and communication effectiveness.
- Exercise editorial judgment in refining language, storytelling techniques, and content presentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Content Execution
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Digital Marketing teams to develop and execute creative content aligned with established marketing objectives.
- Present original copy concepts, creative recommendations, and alternative messaging approaches for review and feedback.
- Independently develop and refine assigned technical writing and content projects from initial draft through final delivery, subject to established guidelines and management approval.
- Manage multiple content assignments and deadlines while maintaining creative quality and technical accuracy.
Work Schedule & Flexibility
- This position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate collaboration and communication with the Korea-based team across different time zones.
- Occasional early morning or evening meetings may be required based on business needs.
Team Support
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support brand and team objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional experience in creative copywriting, marketing communications, advertising, or brand storytelling.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating original creative writing, compelling marketing narratives, and distinctive brand or product messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to apply creativity, originality, and independent editorial judgment in developing written content.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and consumer-focused communications.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback while maintaining creative quality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience writing for consumer electronics, technology, powersports, cycling, or outdoor recreation industries.
- Experience developing original copy for integrated marketing campaigns, digital advertising, and product launches.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted writing and productivity tools to support research and content development while maintaining originality and independent creative judgment.
