What You'll Be Doing:
- Own the Quarterly LRP Roll-Forward and version control. Document key assumption changes and their impact on valuation and capital allocation.
- Partner with IR on Peer Benchmarking analysis, uncovering executive-ready insights that inform financial strategy and long-range plan. Help build and maintain dashboards and reporting to continuously monitor Atlassian performance relative to peers
- Support Board reporting processes (e.g., Annual Offsite, LRP/financial updates), ensuring consistency and cohesion across deliverables and financial narratives. Provide version-over-version analysis to uncover key insights and trends, empowering leaders in managing the business.
- Create, maintain, and modify input templates leveraged by partner teams, tailoring them to capture the narrative, story, or trends we are seeking to highlight.
- Own Long-Range Capital Allocation, maintaining the fiscal year plus one forecast at all times and providing ad hoc support for capital allocation decisions impacting long-term company financials.
- Own the bi-annual LRP Tax workbook process to actively manage outer-year assumptions that align with our LRP methodology and financial trajectory.
- Modernize financial processes through AI integration, leveraging AI tools to minimize manual work and accelerate analysis and decision-making
Qualifications
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 4+ years of financial / analytical experience in tech or Big 4 accounting firms. Experience in SaaS, planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and P&L management preferred.
- Strong analytic / critical thinking, business partnership, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Hands-on and strong financial modeling skills in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Prior experience with financial planning tools (ie. Anaplan, Adaptive, Oracle, SAP, etc) a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial statements.
- Ability to draw upon insights and tell a compelling story involving business metrics to help influence key decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Economics), MBA and/or CFA is a plus.
- AI Fluent - comfortable using AI tools to augment analysis, draft narratives, and improve efficiency across planning cycles.
