About Early Media
Early Media is creating and distributing groundbreaking original series. We craft narratives with viral potential while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between filmmaker and audience into the tightest iteration loop in the industry.
We're hiring a Creative Writer for our kids and youth unscripted content. Someone who understands YouTube and can turn a raw idea into a complete video concept with a strong hook, clear stakes, compelling progression, and a satisfying payoff. You should know how to make stories exciting for younger audiences.
What you'll own
Develop original unscripted video concepts from initial idea through a ready to shoot story framework.
Build the full creative package for each video, including title, theme, concept, hook, stakes, drama, progression and payoff.
Work closely with producers to ensure concepts are ambitious, clear and realistic to execute within the available timeline and budget
Keep our creative bible up to date, including formats, frameworks and story templates the team works from.
Must-haves
Strong Youtube instincts. You understand what earns a click, holds attention, and makes a viewer stay through the ending.
Highly prolific. You can take a subject, creator, location, or rough prompt and quickly generate strong, original concepts.
You can fully develop an idea, and can turn the strongest concept into a video that production can act on.
Experience writing for kids or family audiences, with a clear sense of what feels fun, age appropriate and safe.
You’re highly organized and can keep a fast moving creative process structured, documented and easy to track.
Nice to Have
Experience writing or producing YouTube, unscripted, documentary, reality, or creator led content for audiences ages 13 to 30.
A track record or projects that reached and engaged a meaningful audience.
