Job Summary
The Engineer 2, Network Operations - Critical Infrastructure supports the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical infrastructure systems within Comcast facilities. This role helps maintain and monitor essential systems including electrical power distribution, UPS equipment, generators, HVAC, fire life safety, and related facility infrastructure. The Engineer 2 partners with internal teams and vendors to execute maintenance activities, support infrastructure projects, maintain documentation, monitor facility health, and help ensure operational readiness across business-critical environments.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Implementing critical infrastructure capacity management activities through site audits and equipment modeling with guidance from senior engineers
  • Supporting plan of record deployment activities including ticket management and infrastructure planning under established protocols
  • Conducting distribution infrastructure maintenance by coordinating floor plan updates and managing equipment inventory with moderate supervision
  • Participating in facility operations support through monitoring device onboarding and analyzing performance indicators with team oversight
  • Contributing to infrastructure problem-solving activities by gathering data and recommending solutions following standard methodologies
  • Executing network infrastructure projects by coordinating with vendors and tracking milestones according to documented procedures
  • Maintaining critical infrastructure documentation including floor plans, asset databases, and capacity reports with periodic review
  • Performing routine infrastructure health checks and coordinating maintenance activities while escalating complex issues to senior engineers
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting critical infrastructure, facility operations, data center environments, building systems, industrial maintenance, or related operational facilities.
  • Working knowledge of one or more critical infrastructure disciplines, including electrical systems, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, HVAC equipment, fire life safety systems, plumbing systems, or mechanical equipment.
  • Experience using common diagnostic and maintenance tools
  • Ability to read, maintain, and follow maintenance schedules, operating procedures, preventive maintenance documentation, and site standards.
  • Experience documenting operational activities and maintaining technical records, procedures, reports, or infrastructure documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential issues, follow established processes, and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to safely perform work in operational facilities and coordinate activities with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment to supporting business-critical operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary:
Colorado Pay Range: $77,935.92 - $116,903.88
