What you will do:
- Act as an EHS advisor to projects and regional operations, supporting delivery teams in implementing Ericsson EHS requirements.
- Promote Target Zero by coaching and influencing safe behaviours across all stakeholders.
- Support the embedding of a positive safety culture across sites and teams.
- Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of EHS risks across projects.
- Assist in maintaining project/region risk registers, ensuring risks and actions are tracked and updated.
- Review RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement), CPHSP (Construction phase health and safety plan), and other key documentation, providing technical input and assurance.
- Support compliance with CDM 2015(Construction design Management), Ericsson standards, and statutory requirements.
- Provide feedback, identify trends, and support corrective action closure.
- Support ASP/contractor EHS performance, including review of PICW, and compliance documentation.
- Work with projects and ASPs to track and close EHS actions and escalate non-compliance where required.
- Support incident and accident investigations, contributing to Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Assist with implementation of corrective actions and promote reporting of incidents, hazards, and near misses.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and support EHS input into governance forums.
- Support EHS reporting, KPI tracking, communications, and toolbox talks to drive awareness and improvement.
The skills you bring:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety field
- Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH certificate
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015) Regulations
- Fluency in English
- Ability to manage relationships at all levels across all stakeholders i.e. Ericsson, Customers, Suppliers, Industry bodies and regulators.
- Ability to effectively assess EHS needs of customer engagements and translation of those into actions for the business applying the EMEA Environmental and EHS Management Systems)
- Extensive experience in working in high-risk environments, including working at height.
- Extensive experience working with contractors and suppliers.
- Awareness of hazards involved in construction such as Asbestos Awareness
- Excellent interpersonal, social and communication skills
- Demonstrable leadership capability in managing and driving change in a large, complex organization.
- Ability to influence and inspire action in a matrix organisation.
Additional Skills:
- EHS Internal / External Audit experience (ISO:14001/45001)
- Mental Health First Aid &/or First Aid/Emergency First Aid
- Telecoms industry awareness including Radio Frequency awareness.
- Local Market Knowledge
- Technical member or above of IOSH.
