Curriculum & Learning Experience Design Manager

As the Curriculum & Learning Experience Design Manager, you will lead and mentor our team of instructional designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment focused on creating world-class learning solutions via our curriculum and content. You will be the architect behind our comprehensive learning strategy, overseeing the design and development of an effective and scalable curriculum for our diverse audiences.
You possess a deep understanding of adult learning theories, Bloom's Taxonomy, and high-level learning concepts around memory and retention. You are a champion of process and clear communication, guiding the team through our waterfall process to manage curriculum and content projects effectively from initial request to impactful implementation. You will partner closely with stakeholders, enablement managers, and our Analytics & Impact Manager to ensure learning initiatives address the right needs and their impact on key business KPIs is clearly defined and measured. Your leadership will ensure all curriculum, from onboarding to ongoing enablement for field teams and partners, is strategically designed and aligned with learning objectives that drive business success.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of innovative and highly organized Instructional Designers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented, and data-informed culture.
Architect and oversee the design and development of comprehensive and scalable learning curricula for various audiences, including new hires, productive field members, and external partners.
Ensure the team applies sound instructional design principles, including adult learning theories, Bloom's Taxonomy, and strategies for maximizing memory and retention.
Champion and ensure adherence to established instructional design processes, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality deliverables.
Partner closely with stakeholders and the Analytics & Impact Manager to analyze learning requests, define clear objectives aligned with business KPIs, and ensure data informs the design and measurement of learning initiatives.
Guide the team in effectively managing learning requests that are both proactive and reactive.
Ensure all curriculum is strategically mapped back to clearly defined learning objectives for new hire programs, productive field members, and external partner audiences.
Promote a culture of data-informed decision-making within the instructional design team, encouraging the use of data insights to optimize learning design and measure impact.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
Manage project timelines, resources, and quality standards for all instructional design projects.
Drive innovation and the adoption of new learning technologies and methodologies within the team.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standards for instructional design and curriculum architecture within the organization.
Provide regular updates and reports on team progress and project status to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience (5+ years) in instructional design and curriculum development, with demonstrable experience leading and managing instructional design projects and/or teams.
Deep understanding and practical application of adult learning theories, Bloom's Taxonomy, and principles of memory and retention.
Strong command of instructional design methodologies, particularly ADDIE or similar systematic models.
Demonstrated ability to analyze learning needs, architect comprehensive learning solutions, align learning solutions with business objectives, and understand the importance of data in measuring impact.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in utilizing various instructional design authoring tools and learning technologies and working knowledge of AI.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within a sales or revenue-focused organization.
Familiarity with learning analytics and data visualization tools.
Experience with project management methodologies beyond ADDIE (e.g., Agile).
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$98,300 - $165,672.00Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
