Help school districts that already trust Securly expand their protection with technology credited with helping prevent 2,000+ potential student tragedies. If you've carried a quota and want your number to mean something, this is where you grow a sales career with real impact.

The role

You own cross-sell revenue across an assigned territory of existing K-12 customers. These districts already use Securly, and you'll help them add the products they don't have yet. Your focus is new product lines inside existing accounts.

You'll run two motions:

  • Small districts: a one-to-many approach built on scaled sequences, webinars, and bundled offers.
  • Mid-size and large districts: a high-touch approach of personalized calling and outreach, account plans, and multi-threading across superintendents, tech directors, student services, and business officials.

You carry a quota and own the full cycle. You report to the SVP and work closely with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, RevOps, and Channel Partners.

What success looks like

You'll get a structured ramp with coaching at every stage. The milestones below show what the work typically looks like as you build up.

Timeframe

What you'll be doing

First 30 days

Learn the K-12 landscape, our product suite and pricing, and the tools and systems we use. Segment your territory into small and mid/large districts, identify your top cross-sell targets in each, and shadow CSMs and SEs.

Days 60–90

Run your first one-to-many campaigns to small districts and personalized outreach to priority mid-size and large accounts. Build a steadily growing pipeline that trends toward the coverage you'll need to hit quota. Begin closing your first cross-sell deals, typically smaller, faster-moving opportunities.

By the 6-month mark

Close deals across multiple product lines and both segments. Show a consistent pattern of pipeline creation and steadily improving forecast accuracy. Ramp toward full quota.

12 months

Consistently meet or exceed quota. Run a repeatable small-district engine alongside a growing book of strategic wins. Help shape the playbook for future hires.

Milestones are typical examples, not fixed requirements. Specific goals are set by your manager and may change based on territory, season, and business needs.

Who we're looking for
  • 2+ years as an AE, Account Manager, or CSM with a proven track record of closing cross-sell deals, ideally in K-12 SaaS or EdTech
  • K-12 EdTech sellers, or people with a strong K-12 education background, who've shown success in an AE, CSM, or Account Manager role

What you'll bring:

  • Drive and competitiveness: you're motivated by a number and have a track record of hitting it
  • Range: you can run high-volume outreach and also lead a multi-stakeholder deal that takes months
  • Full-cycle ownership: you prospect, run discovery, build the business case, negotiate, and close
  • Multi-product thinking: you match a customer's needs to the right solution, not just the one they already own
  • Forecasting discipline: clean pipeline, accurate stages, and no surprises at quarter end
  • AI fluency: you use AI tools to research accounts, plan your territory, and personalize outreach
  • Curiosity about how schools buy, and a real interest in student safety
A realistic look at the job

This is a selling role, and your week splits between two kinds of work. Some days you'll run campaigns and move quickly through a high volume of small-district responses. Other days you'll be deep in a single large district: mapping stakeholders, preparing for a board-level conversation, or working through procurement. K-12 has its own rhythm, so some deals close in a week while others take two quarters.

The role is fully remote within the U.S., with occasional travel to conferences / customer visits.

Compensation and benefits
  • Up to $90,000 base + up to $40,000 variable = up to $130,000 on-target earnings
  • Top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Unlimited PTO plus a paid year-end shutdown
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Free 24/7 confidential mental health counseling and wellness tools
  • $1,000 annual learning stipend
  • Structured onboarding and ongoing coaching
