About Creative West
Creative West is a nonprofit U.S. Regional Arts Organization that builds equitable technology, funding, advocacy, and policy systems to generate creative capacity in the West and beyond. By building systems that change systems, we advance equity, justice, and regenerative action—seeing these values as essential as creativity itself. We offer direct, practical support to arts agencies, artists, culture bearers, and creative organizations, aiming to work distributively in support of community-defined goals. Our direct-service work includes funding, programming, leadership development, research, advocacy, technology, and convening to move arts and cultural policy forward.

Please note: This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position. The position is remote and requires residence in Colorado. In-person attendance at Creative West’s shared office space is occasionally required and can be requested at Creative West’s discretion.  The position has a 37.5-hour workweek, with general hours and work days of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time. The Creative West office and most staff are currently located in Denver, Colorado. This position may require overnight travel, approximately 3-5 times per year.

Summary of Position
The customer acquisition coordinator is a sales-focused role responsible for helping Creative West drive revenue for two of its SaaS products: CaFÉ™ and ZAPP®. The position guides prospective customers through the routine sales process, from initial outreach through qualification, discovery, product demonstrations, follow-up and closing. The coordinator will manage inbound sales opportunities, conduct outbound prospecting, maintain an accurate sales pipeline, and work toward monthly and quarterly acquisition and revenue targets.

This role requires someone who is comfortable building relationships and moving prospects toward a decision, including directly asking for the sale. The coordinator should be confident in asking questions to understand a prospective customer’s needs, be able to clearly communicate pricing and product value, and be knowledgeable in addressing routine questions or objections. Strong organization, follow-through, and judgment about when to advance, nurture, escalate, or de-prioritize an opportunity are essential.

Essential Functions

  • Manage inbound sales inquiries for CaFÉ and ZAPP, responding promptly, qualifying prospective customers, and determining the appropriate product, service, or next step.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and develop targeted sales lists through research, digital tools, networking, referrals and other lead-generation methods to identify and engage prospective customers.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand and track prospective customers’ needs, current processes, decision criteria, timelines, budgets and other details necessary to assess and advance qualified prospects.
  • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations through virtual or in-person meetings, tailoring the conversations to the prospect’s needs and clearly communicating functionality, pricing, and value.
  • Manage routine sales opportunities from qualification through close, including communication on standard contract terms and pricing, and moving prospects toward purchase decisions.
  • Prepare and disseminate standard quotes and contracts, and coordinate the handoff of closed sales for contract processing, account setup, and onboarding.
  • Identify and escalate situations that require additional authority or expertise for opportunities involving nonstandard pricing, contract negotiation, special offers, or other material exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect activity in Creative West’s CRM software and other applicable systems.
  • Monitor sales activity against monthly, quarterly, and annual acquisition and revenue targets, and provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, conversions, trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Share relevant information about prospective customer needs, objections, competitor mentions, and recurring product questions to help inform sales, marketing, and product decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business, CaFÉ and ZAPP managers, and other staff on the development and execution of sales campaigns and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

  • Sales ownership and initiative. Proactively advances work, demonstrates appropriate persistence and urgency, and is comfortable taking responsibility for results.
  • Judgment and prioritization. Evaluates available information and determines appropriate next steps or when additional expertise is needed.
  • Consultative communication. Listens actively, asks thoughtful questions, and adapts communication to prospective customers' needs. Communicates clearly and accurately with a wide range of audiences.
  • Accountability and follow-through. Takes ownership of work and reliably follows through on commitments in the time frame required without requiring constant supervision.
  • Cross-functional collaboration. Works effectively across teams, seeks and incorporates relevant expertise, and coordinates appropriately with others while maintaining ownership of assigned work.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in sales, business development, customer acquisition, fundraising or sponsorship involving direct solicitation, or another role involving responsibility for moving prospects toward a purchasing, contractual, or financial decision.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments, discovery, consultative or similar conversations to understand prospective customer needs and inform recommendations.
  • Experience leading demonstrations, presentations, or similar customer-facing meetings, particularly for technology products or services that require translating technical or operational information for nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience working with customer relationship management systems (CRM) to document customer activity, maintain accurate records, communicate with customers, and generate or interpret basic sales reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent prospects and opportunities at different stages.
  • Ability to learn new technology, products, and business processes quickly.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • B2B sales experience, particularly involving SaaS, technology, or other digital services.
  • Experience conducting outbound prospecting or lead generation.
  • Experience working toward defined sales, conversion, or acquisition targets.
  • Advanced CRM experience, including building and evaluating reports or automating workflows.
  • Familiarity with arts, cultural, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organizations and audiences.

Mission and Organizational Commitments

  • Commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion. Brings experience with, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply, practices that support Creative West’s commitments to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.
  • Interest in arts and creativity. Demonstrates interest in Creative West’s mission and in supporting artists, arts organizations, and creative communities. Prior professional experience in the arts is not required.
