Summary

The Staff Consultant plays a critical role in delivering data, analytics, and AI solutions for clients, combining strong technical expertise with emerging consulting leadership.

This role independently executes key workstreams within client engagements, designs and implements scalable data solutions, and collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to drive successful outcomes. Staff Consultants bring advanced technical proficiency and domain experience, while continuing to strengthen their ability to lead delivery components, influence client decisions, and contribute to overall solution strategy. They operate across modern data ecosystems, including cloud platforms, data engineering, business intelligence, and applied AI, while building consultative skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

•       Leads execution of defined workstreams, designing, building, and implementing scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions across modern cloud platforms following established technical and delivery standards.

•       Translates business requirements into technical solutions; develops and optimizes data pipelines, models, dashboards, and AI-driven solutions based on project needs.

•       Partners with engagement leads and client stakeholders to refine requirements, prioritize work, and support scope alignment; applies best practices in data architecture, modeling, testing, and performance optimization.

•       Conducts data validation, testing, and QA; proactively identifies risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities; contributes to RAID tracking and escalates issues through governance channels.

•       Contributes to solution design discussions; produces clear, high-quality documentation including solution designs, technical artifacts, and client deliverables.

•       Delivers knowledge transfer and client training; manages individual timelines; participates in structured status reporting; maintains awareness of scope and escalates misalignment.

•       Adheres to ADM governance practices, project planning alignment, RAID participation, and time tracking discipline.

Required Skills

•       Experience in one or more areas — BI & Analytics, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Architecture, Applied AI/ML, or Data Governance — with strong proficiency in SQL and Python, and the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions within assigned workstreams.

•       Experience designing and implementing moderately complex data models and building/maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, with working knowledge of modern cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse).

•       Experience designing and executing test plans and performing data validation; solid understanding of modern data architecture patterns and best practices.

•       Working knowledge of technical governance practices — code quality, documentation, testing, environment separation, and controlled promotion — with ability to identify technical issues and escalate appropriately.

•       Ability to independently translate business needs into technical solutions, managing multiple priorities and deliverables in a project-based environment with alignment to plans, timelines, and milestones.

•       Strong communication skills — presenting insights, progress, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences; effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

•       Proven ability to identify risks, dependencies, and issues; recommend solutions; escalate appropriately through governance channels; with working knowledge of RAID practices.

•       Growing ability to influence client decisions and contribute to solution direction; strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.

•       Ability to articulate business value of technical solutions; awareness of delivery governance practices and understanding of technical governance standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, data technologies, or AI/ML preferred.

Salary and Benefits

For the position of {Role}, the base salary range is $76,000 – $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Please note that salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified at any time.
