Maintains electronic records, converts documents into digital formats, prepares basic reports, retrieves information, tracks assignments, and supports scanning and filing. The role requires confidentiality, attention to detail, strong organization, dependable independent work, effective time management, and reliable remote-work capabilities.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Data Entry Assistant to support day-to-day administrative and data management operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, organizing, and maintaining information across company databases, spreadsheets, and digital systems.
This position is well suited for someone who is dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy while handling repetitive or time-sensitive tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update information into databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
- Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Verify information against source documents and identify discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain electronic files and records.
- Convert information from documents, forms, emails, and other sources into digital formats.
- Perform routine data cleanup and remove duplicate or outdated information.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Prepare basic reports and spreadsheets as requested by management.
- Retrieve and organize information for internal departments.
- Track data-entry assignments and ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist with document scanning, filing, naming, and organization.
- Communicate missing or inconsistent information to the appropriate department.
- Follow established procedures for data management and recordkeeping.
- Perform other administrative and data-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous data entry or administrative experience is preferred but not always required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good typing and computer skills.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable workspace.
