About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Product Manager to support our Auto Originations business. In this role, you will help advance our data strategy, strengthen data quality and governance practices, and lead a team focused on delivering high-quality, well-controlled data that supports business objectives and regulatory expectations.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead the development and execution of the data product roadmap for Auto Originations, aligned to enterprise data standards and strategic priorities.
  • Drive data quality, metadata, and data governance initiatives that enhance accuracy, transparency, and trust in key data assets.
  • Oversee end-to-end remediation activities, ensuring disciplined execution, timely issue resolution, and strong risk-mitigation outcomes.
  • Partner with business, technology, and risk leaders to deliver a consistent, collaborative approach to data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for data governance and data quality matters.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of data professionals.
  • Manage resources, priorities, and deliverables to meet business and regulatory commitments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated success navigating ambiguity.
  • Proven track record delivering data-focused initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights that support sound decision-making.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across a matrixed organization.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with data governance and analytics tools, including:
  • Data Governance/Metadata: Collibra, Informatica Axon/EDC, Alation
  • Data Quality: Informatica DQ, cloud-based quality tools
  • Data Platforms: Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake
  • Analytics & Visualization: SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Power BI
  • Agile/Product Tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Aha!, Productboard
