MicroTech seeks a Database Engineer to engineer, administer, and sustain large-scale, highly available DoD healthcare databases supporting the global MEDEX/MEDXS mission. This key position supports database reliability, performance, integrity, and recovery.
Responsibilities- Engineer and administer database environments supporting military healthcare applications.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot database issues, and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement and validate backup, recovery, and high-availability capabilities.
- Manage approved database changes, access controls, and data migration activities.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams and maintain database configuration and recovery documentation.
- Experience managing large-scale, highly available DoD healthcare databases.
- Ability to support database performance, availability, data integrity, and recovery.
- Proven experience managing personnel deployments, navigating the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT), and coordinating host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility.
- Active Secret clearance and a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Cloud + or GSEC or Sec+ or SSCP certification and 5 years’ experience minimum

This is a Government-designated Key Personnel position requiring technical and OCONUS readiness on the first day of performance and continuity throughout the assignment.
