Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to support the Decision Science team within the Credit Card organization, focused on developing and optimizing strategies for Existing Customer Management. This role plays a critical part in deepening customer engagement, managing credit exposure, and improving overall portfolio performance through data-driven strategy design.
You will drive advanced analytics across strategies such as Balance Transfers, Proactive and Reactive Line Increases, Card Authorization, Usage and Engagement Campaigns, Repricing, and Product Upgrades/Downgrades. This role requires both strategic and technical leadership, along with a strong quantitative foundation in mathematics, statistics, economics, and financial valuation. In this role, you will
- You will leverage deep expertise in card customer strategies and advanced methodologies to develop valuation frameworks that inform strategic decisions. The role requires strong capabilities in qualitative and quantitative analysis, with a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, economics, and financial valuation.
- Act as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop, influence, and interpret analysis for monitoring and oversight of portfolio and deliver insight and decision strategies, with long term goals for highly complex business analysis and modeling companywide
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring strategic, advanced analytical, inductive thinking, and performance monitoring
- Extract data to provide statistical and financial modeling companywide, delivering solutions that are long term, large scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, companywide strategies
- Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide
- Act as an expert advisor to experienced leadership
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SAS for data analysis, modeling, and strategy development
- Strong SQL skills with experience extracting and manipulating large, complex datasets
- History of developing and supporting credit card strategies such as credit origination, line increases/decreases, balance transfers, and product upgrades
- Ability to develop and analyze income statements and interpret financial valuation outcomes
- Strong math and quantitative skills with experience developing and supporting statistical models
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex data for business partners and senior leaders
- Experience supporting or developing predictive models such as scorecards, segmentation models, or behavioral models
- Familiarity with financial valuation and cash-flow analysis, including NPV/CLV frameworks
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Risk, Decision Science, etc.)
- Graduate degree or MBA in statistics, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
