About Us
Fieldguide is establishing a new state of trust for global commerce and capital markets through automating and streamlining the work of assurance and audit practitioners specifically within cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit. Put simply, we build software for the people who enable trust between businesses.
We’re based in San Francisco, CA, but built as a remote-first company that enables you to do your best work from anywhere. We're backed by top investors including Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Bessemer Venture Partners, 8VC, Floodgate, Y Combinator, DNX Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Justin Kan, Elad Gil, and more.
We value diversity — in backgrounds and in experiences. We need people from all backgrounds and walks of life to help build the future of audit and advisory. Fieldguide’s team is inclusive, driven, humble and supportive. We are deliberate and self-reflective about the kind of team and culture that we are building, seeking teammates that are not only strong in their own aptitudes but care deeply about supporting each other's growth.
As an early stage start-up employee, you’ll have the opportunity to build out the future of business trust. We make audit practitioners’ lives easier by bringing together up to 50% of their work and giving them better work-life balance. If you share our values and enthusiasm for building a great culture and product, you will find a home at Fieldguide.

About the Role

We are looking for a performance marketer who is still in the accounts.

You will own paid as a growth engine at Fieldguide: paid search, paid social, third-party media, landing page conversion, and the website as a demand tool. You will own the budget, the tests, the measurement, and the number. Our ambition is for paid to deliver 30 to 50% of high-quality MQLs and 30% of total pipeline. Today it delivers a fraction of that, which means the upside here is unusually clear.

This is a hands-to-keyboard seat at a senior level. You will build and optimize, not brief an agency and report back. You will work alongside a peer who owns campaign demand (webinars, nurture, email), so you can go deep on performance rather than spreading thin.

Two things we will be honest about. Our attribution is mid-rebuild, so part of this job is closing the measurement gap rather than inheriting a clean dashboard. And conversion optimization is coming back in-house, which means the testing program is yours to build rather than inherit. If either of those reads as a problem rather than an opportunity, this is not the seat.

You are also someone who uses AI daily. Not as a novelty, but because you have built workflows that let one person do what a team used to.

What You'll Do

Own paid search. Google Ads and Microsoft Ads end to end: keyword and query strategy, bid management, ad copy, negatives hygiene, and landing page pairing. Drive CPA down and pipeline efficiency up, and be able to name the changes that did it.

Own paid social. LinkedIn Ads end to end: audiences, creative testing, bidding, conversion tracking, and lead handoff. Build into emerging paid surfaces where the ICP actually is.

Own third-party media and paid distribution. Programmatic display, native, OLV, DOOH, and content syndication, including the agency and trading desk relationships behind them.

Own the conversion surface. Landing page performance, CRO test roadmap, the demo request path, form and gating strategy, and the website as a demand gen tool. Run the testing program in-house.

Own the budget. Allocation across channels, in-quarter reallocation on a two-week read, monthly forecast versus actual, and agency spend management. Bring a kill-or-scale recommendation per channel and per vendor every quarter.

Close the measurement gap. Build full-funnel paid measurement: attribution model, event-based tracking, and a clean line from spend to pipeline to revenue, in partnership with our RevOps and Marketing Ops teams.

Use AI to multiply output. Ask whether AI can do the first 80% of every task. Build agentic monitoring that catches a spend or performance anomaly before a human notices. Share the workflows so the leverage compounds.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years in B2B performance or growth marketing, with clear ownership of a paid budget and a pipeline number.

  • You have experience at the scale we are operating at: monthly paid spend and pipeline contribution in the range we are scaling into, not a few thousand dollars a month.

  • You have hands-on, hands-to-keyboard paid experience. You have personally built, structured, and optimized paid search and paid social campaigns recently. You can walk someone into your account and explain the last three changes you made and why.

  • You have full-funnel and revenue thinking. You can trace a paid dollar to MQL, SQL, SQO, and closed revenue, and you argue about efficiency rather than volume.

  • You have real experience with attribution models and event-based tracking, ideally in an environment where the data was not clean.

  • You have in-house CRO and landing page testing experience: cadence, backlog prioritization, and an honest win rate.

  • You have HubSpot fluency, plus the ad platforms: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.

  • You have vendor and agency management with teeth. You can hold an agency to a hypothesis and a metric, and end an engagement that isn't earning it.

  • You have a specific, demonstrable AI practice in paid execution. You can show us the workflow, the inputs, and what it replaced.

  • You hold yourself to a high bar. You are the first quality check on your own work, and you measure it against the best in the category, not against your last campaign.

  • You have B2B experience with a considered, multi-stakeholder sale. Professional services, accounting, audit, or fintech is a plus. B2C or PLG-only is not a fit.

What Great Looks Like Here

We measure ourselves by outcomes, not effort. Opinions start the conversation; data ends it. Every program has a hypothesis, a metric, and an honest read, and we kill or scale on evidence.

If that sounds like the way you already work, we should talk.
