Senior Salesforce Consultant / Salesforce Technical Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Consultant / Salesforce Technical Lead to lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of our Salesforce ecosystem. This role combines hands-on Salesforce development with technical leadership responsibilities, partnering with business stakeholders and leading a team of Salesforce developers, administrators, and analysts to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, integrations, and enterprise solution delivery, while driving business transformation initiatives across customer lifecycle management, quote-to-cash, customer portals, contract management, and enterprise integrations with HubSpot, NetSuite, DocuSign, Conga, SharePoint, xFilesPro, AWS, and other business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Consulting

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and solution design discussions with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Define solution architectures, technical approaches, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Create functional and technical design documents, process flows, data models, wireframes, and integration specifications.
  • Recommend Salesforce best practices and platform-native solutions to optimize business processes.

Salesforce Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions using: 
    • Apex
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Flows
    • Validation Rules
    • Approval Processes
    • Custom Objects
    • Custom Metadata
    • Platform Events
    • Reports and Dashboards
  • Build custom applications and reusable components within Salesforce Lightning.
  • Configure and enhance Salesforce Sales Cloud including: 
    • Leads
    • Accounts
    • Contacts
    • Opportunities
    • Activities
    • Forecasting
    • Contracts
    • Pipeline Management
  • Develop and support Experience Cloud customer and partner portals.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce security, scalability, and performance best practices.

Integration Development

  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and: 
    • HubSpot
    • NetSuite ERP
    • DocuSign
    • Conga
    • SharePoint
    • xFilesPro
    • AWS Services
    • Third-party applications
  • Develop REST/SOAP API integrations and data synchronization processes.
  • Support middleware, API management, and data integration initiatives.
  • Create data mappings, interface specifications, and integration documentation.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Salesforce developers, administrators, and offshore delivery teams.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight throughout project delivery.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Manage sprint planning, workload allocation, technical estimation, and delivery tracking.
  • Support team members in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the Salesforce team.

Quote-to-Cash & Business Process Optimization

  • Design and implement solutions supporting: 
    • Quote-to-Cash
    • Proposal Management
    • Contract Management
    • Approval Workflows
    • Customer Onboarding
    • Customer Lifecycle Management
    • Customer Self-Service Portals
  • Optimize business processes through automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support document generation and e-signature solutions using Conga and DocuSign.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop Salesforce reports, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level analytics.
  • Support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
  • Analyze data quality and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Release Management & Support

  • Lead technical delivery across Agile projects.
  • Support SIT, UAT, production releases, deployment validation, and post-production support.
  • Manage defect triage, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Conga, and other vendors as needed.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and support materials.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Salesforce implementation and development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading Salesforce development teams or technical projects.
  • Strong expertise in: 
    • Salesforce Sales Cloud
    • Salesforce Experience Cloud
    • Apex Development
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Salesforce Flow
    • Salesforce Security Model
  • Experience implementing and supporting Salesforce integrations with: 
    • HubSpot
    • NetSuite ERP
    • DocuSign
    • Conga
    • SharePoint

  • Strong understanding of: 
    • Salesforce APIs
    • REST/SOAP Web Services
    • Platform Events
    • Integration Patterns
    • Data Migration
  • Experience supporting quote-to-cash and customer lifecycle management processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic consulting with hands-on technical development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Experience with Salesforce Agentforce and AI capabilities.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment frameworks.
  • Experience in Waste Management, Environmental Services, Recycling, Logistics, Transportation, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Industrial Services industries.
